    When trading in, what stops one from trading in an imaginary S24 ultra, saying it has a cracked screen, and only being charged the $1 fee? Am i understanding that right?

      Two reasons - 1) Once you say the phone has cracked screen the trade in value drops to nearly nothing and secondly Asurion places security charge on your card effectively charging you value of the trade in until they receive and assess the phone.

      They charge you the cost of the replacement phone and then refund that once they get the phone.

      So say the trade in value is like $500, they reduce your order by that amount and then charge the $500 to your card. Once they get the phone, they refund the charge. If you don't send in a phone then they don't refund the charge.

      You might as well do it with the cheapest phone rather than the most expensive.

      I am waiting to activate my .edu account so that I can go through the edu portal and then use the 5% app discount BUT thus far, I only have the following:

      $100 ($20, still waiting for the code though)
      $200 GALAXY25
      $400 trade in from customer care
      $435 S23+

      The $150 is not appearing on my end.

    Shame they've removed Bluetooth from the S Pen. Being able to use it to take photos remotely was a great feature. Now won't be getting the S25U as I originally planned.

    This thread is growing and growing. Hard to keep up.

    After all that tries from everyone in this thread. Can someone post the better working deal that works for everyone with or without trade in, so it helps everyone. if the post itself is updated that would be even great

    I myself is having hard time to understand two points even after going through multiple replies.

    1) why people are buying accessories and claiming to return after few days, what benefit they get out of this.
    2) How $1 trade in discount is applied or how does the trade in work without actually trading in a device.

      *** because once the order is approved, you cancel and get the amount refunded keeping the bonus voucher amount on the original sum of the order.

      2) How $1 trade in discount is applied or how does the trade in work without actually trading in a device.
      *** you trade in a cheap phone like s8, s9 for example, you receive $100/$150 off (depending on if getting s25+/s25u), and when you fail to send device they sting you $60.
      If you purchased a S25+ for example, you get $100 bonus trade in on the EPP store, so you are essentialy $40 up.

      Hope this helps..

      1. The code GALAXY2025 is valid when you add accessories with min value $200.
      2. You need to tick "cracked screen" on when being asked in the process about the condition, and Asurion will charge $30 for not returning the device. If you did not choose cracked screen, you will get whatever value you have been quoted for the device and if not returning, you will be charged $60.

      The $400 bonus on tradein worked for me twice in the same transaction. i had 2 phones and got the bonus twice on two trades.

      Asurion places security hold / charges you the value of the trade in upfront so it will be whatever the trade in value plus $60 non return fee.

            • Open the Samsung Shop app
            • Click account on bottom right
            • Scroll down to the bottom
            • Click Select Store
            • Epp Store should show up on there if it's linked to your account. At least Education and Government store shows up there for me.

            If your epp store show up, select the store and proceed with the purchase.
