  • ok deal, if u really need one right now. At this price I expect it to be at least a top model.

    • +9

      $1139 or no deal!

      • -3

Well, $1139 is about $100 USD above MSRP

True MSRP would be less than $1000 AUD

Also note, AMD rebated stores $50 USD in order to get the cards at $600 and $550 respectively.

  • -4

Since when msrp is a deal !
Buy at MSRP, the price always stays at msrp.

      • +5

This is ozBARGAIN not ozMSRP anyone posting anything at or above msrp, just because it is in stock (especially this one where they've bumped up the price), has got this website all wrong.

        • +4

This isn't even an MSRP card, it's a $1139 card.

        • +4

If this is the cheapest available, it counts as a bargain to people who are interested in purchasing. Dont be a dick, just because youre not interested in it at this price doesnt mean others are not. This post helps people who are in the market for a video card right now. If you are not interested in this post, move along and keep your shit to yourself.

          • +1

            @DanielP2: Just, nope.

          • -1

@DanielP2: Everyone else is just as free to voice their opinions. If you are not interested in their opinions, move along and keep your shit to yourself.

            • @xrailgun: Nah but people with stupid opinions need to be silenced

      • The difference is there’s actually been pretty good stock levels of the 9070 (the cheaper models hit harder with demand), so there’s pretty decent odds of being able to pick one up at msrp or maybe even under in the near future if you’re willing to wait.

        5090…? laughs in leather jacket

      • Why are you triggered bro

    • MSRP stays at MSRP.
Price is set by the sellers

  • big upgrade over a 3070ti?

    • +1

      it's not too far from a 5070ti I think?

      • +4

Indeed. It's also more stable than the 5070 Ti and if you undervolt it, the performance increases a bit too according to the interwebs.

        • If you undervolt 5070 ti, it would go up by 5%

    • +1

Upgrading from my RTX 3080 so your answers right there.

    • 9070xt is around 75% uplift over the 3070ti at 1440p in raw raster.

  • +18

So prices go up and it's considered a deal now?

    • +7

It's like Xbox Series X during COVID.

The fact it's in stock is a deal to those that want the stock/inventory and are willing to pay for it.

  • +13

Great Card If you can wait, MSRP is $1139 Reaper

    • -4

The price was $1039 two weeks ago when it launched.

      • +2

No it wasn't. The cheapest 9070xt is 1139. Are you sure you weren't looking at a 9070 non xt?

        • Oops.. you are right, it was the ex tax. price I was looking at.

  • If anyone wants these new cards, keep an eye out on marketplace. I managed to find 2 a few days after launch at RRP and continue to see new ones listed at RRP.

    • +7

Who would be buying these cards just to flip them on marketplace for the same amount. Makes no sense

      • +1

Some scalpers probably weren't able to sell to those willing to pay their outrageous prices.

Furthermore, they may be susceptible to a restocking fee of 10%, meaning they'd lose money potentially.

But as you said, why would you purchase a used one online without warranty or proof of purchase :|

      • At least for the 2 I managed to purchase, both wanted a different card but were out of stock, so they purchased the one in stock instead and waited for the one they wanted. Ive seen a few more listed at rrp. it's a pain in the ass to make sure I wasn't getting scammed and the card fully works before I took it. Luckily both of my cards were legit and came with receipts.

      • a friend is a reseller and usually if he cant get a deal, he'll try to move things on at market rate to reduce his losses

  • +1

So tempting, but don't want to be forced to pay above MSRP

If it were $1199 delivered I'd probably pull the trigger.

I'm going to give AMD an opportunity to come good on their promise of more stock coming at MSRP.

    • +4

Yeah same. In a few months they will have stockpiled enough cards of each brand to lower costs back to msrp.

    • It's up to you. It's your money.

Don't know what your finances are.

      However, $50.00 for a card that's > $1000 with supply issues isn't a huge ask.

No doubt, it's a d*ck move on the part of the stores marking up the cards and on the part of those reselling the cards.

But if you were serious about the card, $50.00 to pull the trigger isn't huge.

      • +1

Looking like those supply issues are passing already.
24+ hours and this is still showing in stock.

Yeah might only be $50 but if I took that attitude with everything I'd be impulse and FOMO buying all the time.

        I've set my line.
I'm paying less than $1200 shipped for a 9070xt or in passing. It's that simple.
Also open to a 5070Ti for $1400 shipped.

        • 5070 Ti for 1400? You're dreaming mate. Maybe an end of the year sale or next year.

No, there will be ongoing supply issues. I think one of the other retailers was offering pre-orders for cards coming in May and June. - Source: PBTech.

Other stores aren't even selling/offering the GPU's unless it's a drop like Centrecom, who are selling for over MSRP.

Some people, yourself included, don't feel it's reasonable to pay over MSRP for their card.

For others with SFF or computers that need a 2 slot card, the premium is worth it because the supply is so limited.

Case by Case scenario. Everyone's situations are different.

          • @4ksandknives: Not saying it's going to happen, I'm just saying i've drawn my lines at those points.

I don't care all that much what other people pay.

Everyone is indeed different, including me.

  • -1

I need the ones with rgb for a decent price ;c

    • +5

Wait till june. Then they will be cheaper

  • +5

Thank you op. This will fit nicely into the SFF pc :)

~$100 off MSRP isn't the worse thing in the world all things considered.

  • +2

If not in a hurry, Hellhound (the next tier up in the PowerColor lineup) is still available for pre order with May shipping estimate at PB Tech for $1208.78: https://www.pbtech.com/au/product/VGAPOW290721/Powercolor-He…

    • +4

Ooooh PTM7950 as standard is a very nice feature. Won't ever have to open it up to re-paste

  • +8

    $1139

  • +5

Why are they selling it at 10% more than the AU rrp (which is already inflated)?

    • +3

      Sadly, because they can..

They're charging a premium on top of what it goes for in the USA, which should include their stupid 25% tariff, which shouldn't affect us, but I reckon the retailer see it as an opportunity and excuse to gouge us….

  • +6

    Not a deal at all

  • +1

Just got my 9070xt steel legend yesterday, spent some time testing everything compared to a 3080 on 4k oled.
It's nice and all but I feel it's more of a side grade since I could play everything at 4k with 60+ fps with most of the bells and whistle before anyway. It just improves on it a bit by 10-20 fps with better shadows(which barely makes any difference while playing)

The more I play with it for me I feel it wasn't worth the upgrade from a 3080 for spending $1150.

    • +1

Classic buyers remorse! 10-20 fps is a generational jump, how much are you out of pocket after you sell the 3080?

Personally I wouldn't have upgraded with that card, it's already better than console graphics, but you should enjoy it now, no need to regret nicer things.

      • I've spent most of the day with it trying out many of the various games I have, will be selling the 9070xt and going back to 3080.
It's not like I can enable raytracing for spending $1150. I get slightly higher fps with more shadows but the end experience is the same.

        • Good call. I was thinking of upgrading myself but I realised my 3070ti still plays everything I want at 4k (with DLSS) at 'close enough' to 60fps. Even the completely unoptimised hogwarts game that supposedly cannot run on an 8gb card. I imagine you would have a much better experience.

      • 10-20 fps doesn't seem that crazy

        • +1

Are you saying it's not a lot? At 4k on the latest titles it would be significant. If that isn't significant for the titles you want to run you don't need to upgrade your GPU, you must be seeing fps numbers in the 100s already

          • @greatlamp: Yeah your right, I have an RX 570 so I kinda forgot people play 4K with good graphics, idk what's wrong with me

    • It should be much better temps though? i heard people can under volt it to like 220 watts so less heat in your room while playing

  • +3

Lets not support this crap. Prices are overkill as it is.

  • +2

Don't support price gouging OzB - HODL

  • +1

Looks like still in stock. I ain't giving my money to greedy retailers.

  • +1

Yup, nah, not a good deal at all, sorry.

  • Miss the days where we only saw really good deals on this website, nowadays it's flooded with crap…

      Thanks for your contribution.

      • No worries, please keep doing your job…

  • PCCG has restocked their 9070 XT Reaper but also at $1249…

    • Yep…

    • Starting to look like this is going to be the thing retailers do.

      Mongrels.

At least Centrecom are including shipping.

  • OOS again
