That title was exhaustive!

Add your trade in details to get the $200 bonus credit.

At the cart page, there's a red 'Get offer' banner on the side of the page, that'll give $100 off (unique code expires 31 Mar 2025).

Get onto chat and request the $100 trade in bonus code.

Buy it from the Samsung Shop app to get additional 5% off, for first time purchasers.

Use Samsung Pay to get additional 10% off (not confirmed as I don't have a Samsung phone to test atm).

For this I chose the Samsung S25 Ultra 256GB variant.

My best guess at the final total cost:

  1. Cart price without additional discounts = $1,849.00
  2. Add trade-in ($5 min. value) for $200 off = $1,644.00
  3. Add cart page code $100 offer = $1,544.00
  4. Add chat $100 bonus trade-in code = $1,444.00
  5. Use Samsung Shop app 5% off first time purchase = $1,371.80
  6. (At this point your totals will vary due to trade in-value but let's go with $1 cracked screen trade in) = $1,375.60 (price corrected)
  7. Use Samsung Pay 10% off = $1,238.04 (price corrected)

If I've made any errors please then let me know in the comments!

UPDATE 2:20pm - Added screenshots and corrected some prices.

    • My samsung pay didn't work the first few times, kept glitching a popup and throwing an error. I sorta just restarted the app, closed all other apps, opened samsung wallet and hit my fingerprint a few times, then I went back in and it magically worked.

  • Cracked screen s23u, can it be traded?

    • +2

Better off selling it elsewhere, screen drops value too much unfortunately.

      • +1

Yeah only 65 in the trade is a joke

  • Another Rabbit hole deal.

  • anyone managed to get samsung pay working with amex?

  • 1309$ for s25u 512 :s hurts to not get anything with it, missed that launch deal, I'll sell it to make some money and wait for s26u. Need to keep using s23u 512 wirh a cracked screen for now 😭

    • Don't stress, Note 9 here - missed everything on s25u, waiting for S26U now 😉

      • +1

Cracked my phone on new year eve lol otherwise I use it 4 to 5 years. Jumped from S9 to s23 and shit happened

    • I was gonna wait until the Pixel 10 but then I realised I'd be kidding myself trying to get a 10 Pro XL with 256GB for ~$1300 at launch.

Oh Google, please don't launch with 128GB :///

  • Thanks OP! $1179.05 for a 512GB Jetblack S25 Ultra using a S21 Ultra trade in (fully working, trade in value $270):

This is about the same as when I originally got my s21 ultra lol, discounts on discounts.

    • -5

I have 256gb S21 ultra. While it's still working fine, battery life seems to degrade a bit. Is S26 around the corner? Usually in September/October isn't it? Thanks.

      • Normally Samsung galaxy phones are launched in January/February every year.

    • I was unable to stack the codes. Got an error saying "invalid code" when I tried to apply the second promocode given to me on chat. I was also confirmed on chat that I wont be able to apply multiple promocodes :(

  • +3

I see all these amazing Samsung hacks/discounts and keep wondering if it ever Apple will go down this route! Never, I guess.

Makes me want to switch from Apple to Android.

  • +3

Or Samsung could just price accordingly rather than have people jump through hoops to get the actual price of these phones.

    • +1

Most people are dumb enough to buy at full price unfortunately

  • +1

Why is the deal classified as Targeted now? What has changed? Are they no longer giving folks discount code freely from that red banner thing?

  • Can someone clarify how you aren’t getting charged the trade in cost or how it’s only $30/$60?!

I’m being told the cost of my trade in will be a hold placed on my card and to upload ID?

    Am I doing something wrong?

    • +2

If you trade in a damaged item like a watch (generic 8 digital serial number), the trade in value and credit card hold is only $1.

      • I traded in a $100 phone do I just lose the $100 if I don't send it in? Is the $60 charge because it's only $1?

  • Thinking about doing this, dropped my s23 ultra into a bowl of water for 10 seconds and it's not turning on. Phone repair store isn't hopeful..

Trying to understand the trade-in situation, should I buy a shitty thing to get the deal to trade it in? Or do you not actually send anything off?
I have an s20 spare phone but I dont really want to trade it in, it's my backup for when shit breaks lol.

    • Don't bother buying a phone just to send off.

If you can get trade in value down to $1 you'll only be charged $30 for not sending it in

      • Now says $60 in the new terms and conditions. Wondering what will happen if you cancel the $1 trade in post receiving the phone. There is already a credit card hold for $1, but wondering if they will charge back the $200 + $100 trade in vouchers?

        • +3

Now says $60 in the new terms and conditions

The T&C says up to $60. Was the same for S25 pre-order 2 months ago. A lot of people confirmed that $1 trade in = you pay the $1 back + $30 fee

if they will charge back the $200 + $100 trade in vouchers

You're safe on any bonus trade in vouchers, they won't charge back for those

          • @CodeXD: Has anyone tried messaging Asurion post the item being sent and received to cancel the trade in like you could with the JB Asurion Trade in deals? (To not cop the fee)

            • +1

@plasmapuff: They can detect that you've used the code so don't think they'll just cancel it.

Not sure if anyone has but feel free to try.

JB you get the bonus code before putting in the order so you can cancel the gift card value of the trade in device easily.

          • +1

@CodeXD: Just read over the T&C's and I get it now.

“…a fee which is equal to the amount of the estimated reduction You received when Your unique Trade ID was applied at the point of sale… (excluding any additional trade-in bonuses offered).”

Excluding the trade bonuses being mentioned makes it all make sense lol. That's cool.

Just cant find that red banner for the $100 coupon code :/

            • @pisoj1: Got the red banner, i just had cart open on an incognito window in case adblocker or something stopped it.

              Came up :)

  • Has anyone had issues with transferring their WhatsApp chat history to a new S25 phone? Apparently it’s an acknowledged issue by WhatsApp, that hasn’t been fixed.

    • I had some issues but eventually found fix from google.

Where are you having issues? I think the main thing for me was to make sure you are not using dark mode when scanning the QR code.

      • Not having issues as yet. Just mitigating possible issues before thinking of buying the phone. Thanks for the tip.

    • Mine was transferred smoothly.

      • Thanks. Good to know.

  • I'm having a nightmare trying to order this with an older Galaxy as the wallet is playing up. Is there any way I can get this deal without using the Samsung Wallet payment method?

    • yes but just less the 10% discount

    • Same. I'm not buying it because I can't get that extra 10 percent. Will stick with current p7p

  • General question to anyone who has used Samsung finance before. Does Samsung give you a normal invoice with the full amount on it?
I wanted to know about the full invoiced amount to claim the tax back through TRS

    • I've bought lots of stuff on finance and they always do. Not too sure about Samsung but I don't see why not. Usually with taxes you only claim what you've paid during that financial year. So if it's over 24 months you only claim what you paid in that 12 month / financial year period or part there of. Double check with your accountant though.

  • The cheapest watch trade in is $10, how can we reduce the value down to $1 please?

    • When you get to checkout, it will ask you about the condition of the watch. Click the box that says 'broken screen etc' and it should go down to $1.

      • Thanks!

  • +1

So mine (s25 ultra 512gb) came to $1548.54. With Samsung care at $139.50.
    So $1409 total.

But I also may get $100 back from Commbank. Unsure as I obviously ordered on the samsung store app.. And the offer says the samsung site?
I also couldnt see it in the commbank rewards.

But if it works out to $1309, i'd be pretty bloody happy.

Im gutted I lost my s23 ultra. Dropped into a bowl of water by my bedside table (birds waterbowl left out by my partner) long bloody story but my god am I mad about it.

But hell yeah new phone who dis!

Also; my dad pointed out the s24+ deal is a bargain, you can get it down to $755 with the chat coupon (no red banner) and then 15% with samsung pay/store buy….. Youre looking at like $640… If commbank works that's $540 for a s24+! Could flip those for a few hundy more!

    • Are you referring to the Yello deal where you get $100 back on $500 spent? If so I dont think you will because you had to go through this site https://www.samsung.com/au/multistore/commbank_yello_au/
I tried using the discount codes on that portal but none of them worked and I dont think you will get $100 back unless you go through the portal.

      • Ahhh dang, not too bothered. The discount was pretty epic anyway.

    • +1

Think the S24+ was cheaper during the secret sale 2 weeks ago after you added available discounts or similar but you got a free case.
Commbank yello discount is given at checkout when you go through the commbank yello samsung page and not a cashback.

    • +1

      What's your trade-in value?

  • Here are a couple of discount codes below for anyone considering buying a S25 Ultra. Make sure you stack them for an additional $200 off

    Extra $100 off: MAB-EC6R-XPRR-4CA5

    Additional $100 off with trade-in: CRS-SMMZ-664F-64LF

    • I was unable to stack the codes. Got an error saying "invalid code" when I tried to apply the second promocode given to me on chat. I was also confirmed on chat that I wont be able to apply multiple promocodes :(

      • Those 2 codes stack because the MAB code is just the red banner offer code that pops up in cart. Codes given by chat arent meant to stack though.

        • Damn I missed on it then. Must have done some mistake while applying the code.

    • -1

That MAB code is used - by someone - I cannot get the banner using any of the suggestions pity me @classicspank . Maybe cos I'm on an S10+, even tried from desktop browsers - no luck, adding in and removing, no blockers, backwards and forwards between cart and shop.

    • If you dont send in the trade in device S22 128Gb, do you get charged the $200?

      • You are charged the $200 as a security when you apply the trade in. When you send the phone back, it gets refunded.

      • Yes. As they have already put a security charge of $200 for this. They will process the refund once the condition matches what was declared while checkout.

  • Does anyone know if it's possible to change the trade in phone model after an order is placed? I put in a working S9 as the trade in but just realised I have an older S8 with cracked screen which i would like to trade instead.

    • I don't think you can change. Maybe submit another order and cancel this one instead?

      • Don't think you'd get all the coupons etc as they'd be one-time use no doubt.

Best to chat to Asurion or Samsung Chat.

  • Does anyone with Amex $100 back from $500 spend offer know if it also works with the education portal?

  • i could only get this much

    • Didn't you get the code from chat? Or use the one posted above 1hr 19min ago.

      • It took me so long to get it to work I forgot to check for free codes in the chat. The red banner thing didn’t work on the Samsung shop app. It will load but didn’t do anything inside the app. I had to use the computer to get the red banner code.

        • I can't get the red banner @somethingzzzzz using desktop browsers, mobile browsers, edge chrome, adblockers off, adding and removing items, switching between shop and cart, some one already used the above code. I'm on an cracked screen s10+, take pity on me pls.

  • Looks sus Looks like they plastic wrapped it to make it loo sealed but it doesnt come with plastic.

    • Now son… Sit down and listen…

    • Is there an additional bundle discount? Whats the offer?

  • +1

FYI I had the Amex Samsung $100 offer saved to my card.

I paid for this deal on my Amex via Samsung Pay 2 days ago and today I sucessfully received the $100 credit today.

    • You are very lucky…

I have been trying many times to use Samsung pay through my AMEX card with Samsung offer but always failed.
They just kept telling me the card is not accepted by Samsung shop which is weird as I did see the AMEX payment option…..I gave up eventually and didn't get $100 discount from AMEX…

      • +4

I initially had trouble when trying to pay with my Amex.
Out of frustration I added my Visa to Samsung Pay as well just to pay for thie deal.

This time at checkout (having 2 cards in my Samsung Wallet) it let me select the Amex and transaction went through 🤷

        • +1

          Worked as you described

I swapped in between the two cards (you'll want to attempt this until AMEX has the pay/PIN button) - and just like the KFC 'hacks' with checking out the hot and crispy add-ons - AMEX then became a valid option

          • @loke: I was hopeful after reading this when I had so much trouble, but sadly even after tried this hack so many times, including on my dad's Samsung phone, I still couldn't get it to work. So I chose the AMEX offer, over paying it with Samsung Pay through another (non-reward) credit card at 10% less.

  • I got this phone (256GB) for a total of ~$1,067. Below are the details:

"Get Banner" Voucher applied - $100 discount.
"CRS" Chat Voucher applied - $100 discount.
    $200 bonus + Trade-In device value ($200 for Samsung S22 128GB) has been applied.
Shop App 5% off first purchase applied.
Samsung Pay - 10% discount applied.

Thanks so much OP for the deal & info.

  • -5

Not considering any phone over 1k even with all these stacking discounts still not under 1k for flagship therefore no go

Holding on to my Pixel 8 Pro 256GB for $900 for 16 months

    • With the weak AU Dollar, you'll be waiting quite some time. Perhaps upper-midrange is where you should look for your upgrade.

    • +1

I feel like expecting a flagship phone < $1000 waa a reasonable exoection a few years ago but not now anymore

      • +1

Well yeah inflation plus thanks to ACMA making people have to buy phones locally

We can no longer import phones because they will not be able to connect via carrier with no whitelisted on IMEI.

Too much risks and savings are not worth the trouble.

Then local suppliers start price gouging

  • I think trade in value needs to be $1 to get $200 bonus. Can someone confirm how much you would be charged if you don't send your phone for trade in (considering the value was $1)

  • Has anyone tried split payment using multiple amex cards?

  • thanks OP, was able to help Dad get a s25 ultra for ~$1350 with a $60 trade in

  • +1

Thanks OP! Finnaly pulled the trigger and got the 512GB model for for $805.45.
Traded in my S23 Ultra for $590 with $200 trade-in bonus.
    - $100 checkout bonus
    - $100 chat 'loyalty' bonus
    - 5% Shop app first purchase
    - 10% Samsung Pay
    - $100 cashback for using AMEX

For those who are having touble paying with AMEX. Add 1 or 2 Visa or Mastercard card to Samsung pay and try to swap card few time in checkout when using Samsung pay. Managed to get the fingerprint verification on AMEX and then it worked

    Total - $905.45 - $100 Cashback Amex = $805.45.

  • Hi All,

Had a query about Samsung pay - Does the 10% off via samsung pay gets deducted at checkout before the actual payment?

My brother just ordered the S25 ultra 1TB and it didn't show him the 10% off until the payment was actually made via samsung pay on his cc.

Also, can anybody help with the maths as it is not adding up for me -
    $200 trade in bonus
    $100 chat voucher
    $100 red banner voucher
    $245 trade-in from old device
$139.50 2 year care plus plan
    10% off samsung pay

Total $1623.60 but grand total shown as $1763.10. He was charged $1763 on the cc so would the $140 difference be refunded on his cc?

    Please help.

    • +1

Ss care plus is not a discount, don't know why you put it there?
      $1623.6 + $139.5 care plan = $1763.10

      • Thank you. I had only put it there to show the full order.

  • Also, has anyone tried returning the phone? What was the reason you provided and if you faced any challenges?

Might try returning and re-ordering on my order (s23 ultra 512 GB) [different order from my brother's order of s23 ultra 1 TB mentioned in my previous post] where I didn't get the 10% off samsung pay as I was not aware about it. I think I'll get an extra $156 off with it.

Do you think it is worth the hassle of returning and re-ordering?

    • I think that may come with a bit of difficulty, as the OP in this thread did mention there was a 10% off for Samsung Pay early in the process.

It's probably not worth the hassle, as once you receive the phone, it has already depreciated in market value, so I'd wait for it to arrive and just enjoy the new device! :)

      • Thanks for replying. The 10% off samsung pay offer is valid till 16th Apr. Hence, wanting to maximize my savings by returning the s25 512 GB ultra I ordered for $1546 and re-ordering it again via samsung pay to get the extra 10% off ($154) for $1392.

        What do you all think?

  • +1

Does the 10% pff samsung pay discount apply after you verify your fingerprint? I am not seeing the 10% discount before fingerprint verification.

I am trying to check out using Samsung Pay using the Samsung Shop app and it is not giving me the 10% off discount

  • Finally pulled the trigger and get the S25 Ultra 256g for $301

    Price $1849
    - $100 red banner code
    - $100 live chat
    - $890 trade in 15 pro max 256gb (similar selling price on marketplace)
    - $200 trade in bonus
    - $100 amex
    - 5% shopapp
    - $129.19 back from TRS (travel next week).

  • Asurion Trade-in Question please if I may and if anyone knows the answer to this:
    1. Do we really only have 7 days to return the trade-in device after the new device is delivered?
    2. Can we request an extension? if so, how do we request the extension?

    • +1

7 days but they don't charge you until after 14 days

      • ok one follow-up question if i may please: say I return the trade-in device 10 days after the new device is delivered, do I then click on anything to signal 'hey the trade-in device is off my place, going to yours" to Asurion? that way, if the device arrives after day 15, they would know that the device is already in transit and it's not my fault but rather logistics' fault.

        • +1

As long as you use the Asurion Return Slip they provide (this is a unique return label that is tied to your trade in), nothing else you need to do from your end.

  • Anyone know the app discount (5%) only for the first time use?

    • yes. Only on first purchase AFAIK

    • First purchase with the app. I purchased previously from their website & still get 5% off when I tried to purchase with the app.

  • The add cart offer is missing
