Trawling through dick smith when found this CD player for $10. Click and collect only, plenty of stock when I tested a few postcodes. Probably cheap and nasty but good be good for bedroom, present etc.
Combine with this http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/89940, pop on your kids favourite CD and they can become an instant rock star! Don't think there will be many noise complaints from the neighbours with a power output of 2 x 1.2W.

Headphone jack built in, so yes you can connect it to external speakers.
Even cheaper than toy CD player that I paid $15 at Kmart and this is real one.
Aux in is actually the port to play other devices through the player's speakers, eg. phone, iPod, etc.
I'd be surprised if there was.
