    better than yum cha…

I disagree. This may be cheaper and more convenient but Yum Cha ones are still better.

Go to a proper yum cha place. Don't deprive yourself.

Caveat, these ones are definitely not bad. But not comparable to the fresh stuff.

      • This guy is simply sharing his opinion, why downvote him. Seems perfectly reasonable that he likes it better. Taste is subjective.

  • They are cheaper in Asian Supermarket - most of them are $12 for 3 packs

    • wow…

    • which one?

      • Most? They are comparative and priced similarly.

          nah… they $5. something

          • @ilove: Figured you are in QLD. No idea then. This is the standard pricing in Asian shops in Sydney.

Another one is prima taste noodles always under $4 a packet.

  • What’s the difference between Shaomai and Sui mai?

      spelling only?

      shao mai = mandarin
      siu mai = cantonese

      • I learnt something today. Thankyou

I bought it every time it's on sale, until the discounted price went up to $4.5, it was $3.9 after the discount two month ago

    • -1

      7 weeks every sale?

      • no, roughly every 2-3 weeks

    • Wish the $3 deal be back.

  • This is not better than yum cha.
    Don't lie.

    • i had it in the early 90s … it was great.

  • These aren't the same as siu mai at yum cha, but it's damn good regardless. You can't really find authentic siu mai frozen unless you have connection with some guy that makes them as an ex dim sum chef. All the stuff available at the stores all taste different/weird. This at least is supposed to be made for convenience and taste good.

siu mai at inala plaza had a dead cockroach it in I'm told…

      • Sounds like you're in Bris, you can try the sunnybank areas for dim sum.

      • That's fresh stuff mate… or they will tell you it's a fermented soy bean.

      • 🤮

  • what are the best places in Syd for some Yumcha ?

    • cabramatta, or burwood.
