    Wouldn't that break quickly?

I can get a USB 3.0 Kingston 32GB for $25 from Umart down the road…, you expect me to pay $22 for a nameless USB 2.0 junk, shipped from China…?

Don't have Umart or MSY ?
    Officeworks stocks a SanDisk 32GB USB 2.0 for $19.97

Comparing Apples and Oranges; The size is clearly the drawcard here.
Kingmax has also been around for decades as a flash memory provider.

I don't quite understand the neg here.

That Kingston stick you mentioned is physically 3x longer in length if I'm correct.
Sure, this still isn't a bargain of the century, but it's unique "enough" at least.
Maybe for some it's worth being this price for having something so small.

BTW, Kingmax is not nameless. It's been around as long as Kingston and is quite reputable.
Heck, I used to buy their RAM back in the day to overclock my PC. =)

I guess you didn't read matthew42's post below…, same size as this junk that you'll wait a month for, wait what warranty ?

        • +2

That product is 3.3cm long and this one is 1.95cm long. That's still quite a bit sticking out of your tablet/laptop/car stereo and is enough to be useless to be plugged in permanently for daily use while this one is not. So it's not even close to being the same.

Will this rock your boat mate ? Sandisk micro usb posted within Australia for $22…, preach Link

        • +3

          More expensive :)

So so far you've not said one right thing to justify your neg on this deal.

        • +1

Yup. Now that is much better. It's a $1 more but at least it comes from Sydney so that's better in my books also. If you mentioned this the first time, you would have saved a lot of hassle. (but yeah, saying Kingmax is nameless had to be corrected still. =p)

People know this is not a bargain, the wait, brand/quality, warranty hassle, etc.

You can find HEAPS of stuff within this price range LOCALLY…

Rather than Troll the troll, shouldn't you people be more productive with your time and effort, the rep doesn't give a flying f* about us anyway… LOL

        • -4

That's still quite a bit sticking out

nitpicking are we ?, 1.35cm is the difference… LOL

        • if i remember correctly, kingmax has been making these tiny usb for a looooooooong long time, definitely before sandisk. dont think this has the annoying flashing led…

posted within Aus does not equal to fast postage

ebay from hk - shortest: 1week, longest: 3 weeks
ebay from aus - shortest: 4days, longest: never arrived

        • +3

That difference in length combined with the extra height determines the ability to leave it plugged into a laptop with its bag or sleeve without it breaking off.

        • Just stop…

  • Would be better if it were USB 3.0

I'm still waiting to find a decent small (not necessarily this tiny) USB 3.0 stick to replace my USB 2.0 work USB on the key ring. Any suggestions?

    • Totally agree. I can pickup a Patriot LifeStyle SWING 32GB USB2.0 Flsh Pen Drive for $19 from MSY. Speed is not fantastic, but they are tiny and solid metal.

I am hoping so much that Patriot produce a similar design for USB3.0. In the mean time I will keep resisting.

      • I have the pink one of this and its fantastic, but gets really hot !

        • The smaller the flash chips are getting while maintain its storage size has a side effect of producing more heat - its like placing much more energy into a denser place. My Silicon power touch 32gb produce heaps of heat, but is really small in design :

        • I love hot chips…

Pro: it's quite small so you can leave it a laptop and not worry about unplugging it.
Con: it's quite small so you can easily leave it behind at someone else's or a public computer

I had an OCZ Mini-Kart that was similar to Patriot LifeStyle Swing linked above. It died after I walked past and into it when it was plugged in at a computer lab. I would imagine this would be more resilient in such a situation.

I had a usb stick this size, never again. First USB port I plugged into was particularly tight so when I tried to pull it out the plastic end came off and the usb bit stayed in the port. Had to use pliers to remove it :(

At the best of times it as pain to remove, if you add keys or key-rings to it it became easier to unplug, but you still had the occasional issue as stated above.

Actually it looked identical to this one except black…

Been looking for a small flash drive like this to use in combination with an OTG cable recently and I found this:

    SanDisk Cruzer Fit 32GB for $22.90 delivered - http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_401530_SanDisk_Cruzer_Fit…

Not sure what ShoppingSquare shipping times are like (is it them or ShoppingExpress who are slow? idk..) but MobileCity have it for a few dollars more if you need it within a week - http://www.mobileciti.com.au/sandisk-cruzer-fit-cz33-32gb-us…

Personally I would never buy a memory card or flash drive from China after reading over and over again about people being ripped off and receiving 512mb sticks/cards when they bought a 32gb (or variations on those). If you decide to buy or have bought any memory cards/storage devices in the past, I would highly recommend that you use h2testw to determine the actual memory capacity. Most fakes say 32GB or whatever value you bought when you check it out in My Computer but once you run a test on it, it will reveal the actual capacity.
