  • Is this a Chonda like the Bull Ant I purchased for $99. If so, they are not bad at all, but no Honda side valve HR173 which lasted 27 years

  • Ozbargaineers, i need to buy a mower for a small lawn. Maybe 75 square metres. I know very little about mowers.
Is somthing like this, or an electric mower the way forward? Keen to hear brands/models to buy.

I'd love to help but I'm also new to gardening so others may be more helpful? In saying that, people tend to use an electric mower (corded/cordless) for a small yard. That also depends on whether you're okay with keeping your battery charged before you mow your lawn. Petrol-powered ones can be more powerful but gotta deal with the noise and air pollution, in addition to topping up oil, filling up petrol with a jerry can and the usual - cleaning the blades after each use. If you're not mechanically-minded, maybe stick with a lawn mower that comes with a warranty? In case sth goes wrong within the warranty, you can bring it back to the shop.
