    $159? 55inch?
    That’s Cheap!!!!!!!!!!!

  • +1

    Website doesn't load again. Lol.

  • +4

Got in before the website died, $88 shipping to Perth for those playing on the West Coast

    • Maybe I’m out of touch but that sounds pretty cheap…

      • +1

Honestly I have no idea, normally such deals don’t even offer to post to Perth. $247 delivered is still pretty good in my books so I picked one up for the bedroom

        • That's what she said

    • Yeah thats what stopped me. I will wait for AusPost to do another soniq deal.

    • Yeah $77 to me in north nsw.

    • Might have goofed! Current TV is on the top of a tall boy, I can't find any information on the width between the legs of this one but tis gonna be close!

      • +3

I have this TV and it definitely didn't fit on my little corner tv stand in my bedroom - I bought one of these off Amazon:

MOUNTUP Universal TV Stand , currently $39 when using the coupon :)

        • +1

Spooky I use the exact same one.

          • @PainToad: I did a combo, I got a long shelf from bunnings and clamped it down with a g clamp, then I also got one of these but due to the adjustabikity being based one holes on the bracket the wiedght was primarily on the legs, but then the shelf bowed a little so the legs and centre stand are all doing something now. 75" TV sorted

      • +2

A photo of this Soniq TV on the Mountup TV stand to show what it looks like: Imgur Link

        • Thanks for sharing mate. I'll see how we go when it arrives, it may just have enough width, it's a pretty big tall boy, if not that's a great backup option!

  • and the website is down again

  • This one or the 65”? What’s the better buy?

    • +1

Whatever u can get ur hands on

    • 65-inch shipping cost was almost same as TV (less than $300) and you can't pick up if you have small car

      • It will fit in a Toyota Yaris if you are brave

    • 65” has Android TV built in ,
      for $299 it looks ok
      if you have bad eyesight

  • -3

Doesn't mention if its LED or even LCD.

    • +13

What else would it be? I don't think it's an OLED

    • +1

      It's definitely not oled

    • +9

Screen Type: LED back light LCD UHD 4K Panel
      Look at specs.

    • +8

      It’s a CRT.

      • +4

Excellent, mortal kombat on Sega genesis just don’t look right on fancy modern day tvs

    • It's both. LED backlight LCD display.

  • +1

Feel like this would be better than my current 45 inch FFalcon which is "smart" which means it just has a netflix and youtube button lmao so I use a firebox anyway. Meant to be 4k but pretty sure its fake 4k

    • +1

It's a lot FFing bigger than your FFalcon.

  • Dont bother trying site is down

  • It’s back up. But careful about delivery. I selected delivery to NSW, it processed without the delivery fee and now tells me I have to go pick it up

  • QLD shipping $218.90 - was trying to get the 65" but passed now.

  • -8

Website down two days in a row

  • +1

Cheaper than a 27" UHD monitor

    • +3

      Apples and oranges.

      • +1

Yeah this TV is 4K. And it's STILL cheaper lol

        • +2

and 55 whole inches at that!

    • -1

Conversely, power consumption is going to be a killer compared to a 55" 4K TV of unknown screen type or power consumption figures, so what you save now is going to be consumed within months.

  • Thanks stewartedin!
Managed to process to cart for one and pay PayPal hopefully they have stock and fulfill order :)

Received order number confirmation email from Soniq.

  • Anyone know shipping to WA. Site oz bargained. Looking at 65"

    • +1

      Got through. $218 shipping. Nah,

    • Not sure why down voted for asking how much before trying too many times. Oh well.

  • Spent 15 minutes before reaching checkout page, selected NSW address but the pick up option is still for VIC

It throws an error when I select Paypal. Unsure whats happening.

    • +1

Site is cooked from moderate server load. Poor form.

      • I've gotten to checkout page like 2 or 3 times but i wanna add the $2 hdmi cable… greedy me. site doesnt wanna work tho :(

edit: the $2 hdmi cable on the home page doesn't even exist anymore![it shows as $2 on the homepage tho] it's $15 when added to cart.

    • did you update your account's billing and shipping address. which will direct you to correct pick up point in NSW.

  • +1

@ soniq y'all gotta update your network infrastructure man for the clearance site!

  • 65 for 299 or 55 for 149? which is better

    • +5

      Yes

    • I'm buying in exchange for other dead soniq

5.5 years - not good but not that bad

still go on the cheap $159

      • I mean same soniq tv -> 65 for 299 or 55 for 149? which is better?

        • where 55 for 149..?

          i only see $159 for 55in :P

  • +1

I live 5 minutes from the Soniq outlet. I'll drop in Tuesday to organise a OzBargain group buy.

    • +1

      W mr fox!

actually last time i picked up this (when it was $299) i did run into someone else picking up at the same time as me who also saw it from ozbarg haha small world :D

  • after retrying several times… managed to get one…. their server just couldn't handle so much load in a short period of time.

  • Managed to get one with PayPal, took a while but I’ve got a a confirmation email.

    • sameeee…. fark me took me ages

  • It says 1 yr warranty instead of 3, with this deal. Then site went kaput again.

If anyone wondering: Width of the TV is 1244mm.

    • I think 1244 is length.

      • -2

        Thats what she say.

  • Anyone managed to select pick up to NSW regents park?

  • Hi can someone please confirm if these are LCD or LED's?

  • -2

    website dont load

  • got one , set auto refresh and eventually got in.

  • took a few tries but managed to put order through on their site, paid via paypal then it timed out but still got paypal payment confirmation & th eorder confirmation from Soniq

upon paypal payment , i go this: "Gateway Timeout
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application."

but still got the relevant confirmation emails

  • any idea about the 65'in model is it led or lcd? thanks

    • LED is just the backlight for LCD panels older TVs used CCFL. Other than OLED and rear projection TVs are LCD. LED is just a marketing term.

      • +2

I like how QLED reads very similar to OLED. More marketing nonsense.

        • YES QLED is just same LCD panel with same LED backlight and a filter layer

      • the latest micro-LED is the real thing, not LCD.

(not to be confused with mini-LED backlight)

  • Sold out for NSW. Says no more stock for 55 tv.

    • I guess I got the last one lol.

      • I think I did, I was reading that comment as it checked out lol

  • Just bought the 65 inch for pick up in Qld just hope they are new.

  • OMG, I got one!
NSW as well, so who knows if they will honour it.

    • Did you pay for shippign

      • Yep I did - so I guess they will probably ship from another warehouse

  • All over, what a shit show.

  • +1

lmao it changed the shipping to pickup after purchase…

  • Sorry, we do not have enough “SONIQ 55“ NON-SMART 4K TV” in stock to fulfill your order (0 available). We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

    • Spoke to soon! I just ordered one for pickup in Sydney …

  • Krazyy beat me to it but yeah out of stock, really disappointed but oh well, gotta be quick

  • Just ordered one in Vic

  • Ordered the 65 without issue just now for vic and the non smart still shows in stock?

    • 55" shows stock, but during checkout gives error saying 0 available.

  • Spoke too soon! I just ordered one for pickup in Sydney …

  • +1

This should give us all an idea of the actual cost.. even with marginally better parrs on bigger brands..

  • Ordered a 65 and a 32, keen to see how they are when I grab them, I don't expect them to be world beaters but if they just work I'll be super happy with the value

  • How did this go out of stock when it was impossible to try. I tried at least 50 times to buy it. Got to pay pay once but it timed out approving the payment

    • Oh, hang on, it went through lol. Hadn't checked my email

  • Curious how these compare image/screen wise to the 55” in the 800-1200 range like the DU7700 / Q60D etc?

    • Well idk what those TVs are but if they have an QLED or OLED panel they'll look better…

      And possibly better response times.

I remember reading somewhere this TV has a 8ms response time so not the best for competitiver gaming W my consoles but it's 60hz anyway so :P

  • Does anyone know dimensions of 65 inch TV box?

    • Would like to know this as well!

    • @soniqaustralia - can you please confirm this? And also the spec sheet for 65 inch model
