Good find, OP. Solid review from Dong:

In fact, the RT-BE92U is easily one of the best, if not the best, sub-$300 Wi-Fi 7 routers you can buy today. It doesn’t have everything or the fastest speed, but it has more than enough to justify its cost compared to the alternatives.

  • Is this reasonable if im only getting a 100/20 Mbps?
If not please suggest some other ones

    • Easily good enough

      • Wouldn't it be overkill?

      Ever so slight overkill.

I would note that 100/20 is becoming 500/50 in about 5 months though (well, is at a HFC/FTTP location or are upgradable to FTTP), but even then you can easily get 500mbit of wireless throughput on fairly cheap hardware compared to this. Although most of them won't have 2.5gbit WAN ports for if you ever decide to upgrade to a 2000 down plan.

      • Just saw the update on the new NBN speeds, nice!

  • I think same one through Germany Amazon but $400, have had it on my watch list

Amazon Germany is EU stock. I don't know if the github workaround works on the Wi-Fi 7 Asus routers.

I'd pay the extra for local stock and local warranty.

  • Darn, i just built my own OpenWRT Router + got a second hand Flint2. This seems like a good deal if it can do Cake with at least gigabit.
