Please be warned that the discounted Lebara starter kit can no longer be directly activated as Pay As You Go plan. I bought a Lebara $19.90 starter pack a few months ago from Coles and was trying to activate tonight on their website. Looks like I can only activate as $19.90 plan with 30 day expiry, or as Pay As You Go but it prompted me to put a minimum recharge value of $5, without mentioning where the face value ($19.90) will also be part of the PAYG credit or not. I stopped the activation process and will contact their customer service team tomorrow.

    • Please keep us updated, many thanks!

  • Last Amaysim sim I got only worked in my router for upto 20mins, then placed in phone and instantly worked, back in router and again 20ish minutes, ended up having to usb tether phone to PC to get my internet on PC, speed via this method sucked vs being in router.
Not sure if this is related to 3g shutdown, no sms about device not supported, or if they've clamped down on how we can use these, I only grab these for cheap PC internet(gone are the days of free internet it appears).

My existing supply of Boost sims are still working fine in my router.

The T&C's specifically mention "not a broadband replacement", so I am not sure you have anything to complain about.

You can activate with an overseas passport.

  • Offer hasn't expired. Valid till 20th May 2025. Confirmed in the app and in-store at Coles too.

  • Unlike Ww's everyday extra, the coles plus saver 10% discount (free for 3 months until tomorrow https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/905667) doesn't work on SIMs. (WW 10% off doesn't work on everyday mobile but works on others.)

Also unlike WW, you can't split payments at the self checkout, except if you put cash in first, and pay the rest with one card only.

I was unable to confirm whether flybuys dollars or coles gift cards can be used. The woolworths equivalents can be used at their self checkouts to pay for SIMs (other than everyday mobile).
