    Using this atm

A good thing about Amaysim is that if you are a customer, they will sometimes send you an offer for a free month of NBN. So for a $10 investment, you save $80 on a month of internet

Price match Officeworks for $9.5 (max 2)

    • +2

You are the cheapest person I know, and that's a compliment!

      • +3

Also 5x flybuys and 15% off officeworks giftcards if you have them

    • You can activate the physical sim packs for eSim and have a bunch of phone numbers for free sh1t

      • Could easily do PAYG for a year with the PAYG then use the credit for a plan and extend it for another 6 months

        • Howww

          • @retnup: Just pick PAYG on activation, then when the credit is about to expire buy a plan (6 months from plan cut off is when they turf your number). I'm thinking the new deal is Amaysim, boost cashback sim after 18 months then amaysim again.

      • You can activate the physical sim packs for eSim and have a bunch of phone numbers for free sh1t

        Can you elaborate?

        • Buy the physical packs with the 5% off office works price match, activate all of them as eSims (easy to do) then just make the relevant number active on your eSim when you need a OTC for:
JB HiFi, 2 signup codes plus a birthday (or two if you strategize with the right timing and wait)
Sporting Globe 25 buck birthday voucher (recently implemented phone verification)
free burrito (or $ value of one) at Guzman - use bluestacks to get around device tracking
Shitty little nosh box from Schnitz
More flybuys accounts for the 10% off coles mastercards (then you can use the flybuys points easier)

          • @liamisred: I'm so boggled lol
So in summary, you just pause and resume the esim as needed?

            • @retnup: yah, googled it and an iphone 12 can hold 20 esims (not all active but who cares)

            • +3

              @retnup: GPT summary for you:
Price match Officeworks to get physical SIM packs for $9.50 (limit 2). Activate them as eSIMs (easy to do) — your phone can store multiple eSIMs (e.g., iPhone 12 can store up to 20).
Use the different phone numbers to claim sign-up deals, birthday vouchers, and other freebies like:
              • JB Hi-Fi signup and birthday offers
              • Sporting Globe $25 voucher (needs phone verification)
              • Guzman free burrito (using Bluestacks to bypass device tracking)
              • Schnitz nosh box
              • Create extra Flybuys accounts for Coles Mastercard discounts

              Extra tips:
              • Stack it with 5× Flybuys points and 10% off Officeworks gift cards if you have them (TCN)
              • If you activate the SIMs on PAYG, you can stretch the credit for up to 18 months by switching to a plan before the credit expires (or just keep adding the minimum credit if you want to keep the number)

@liamisred: Thanks heaps dude, got it!
Mind blown but this is next level! Appreciate you taking the time

Can you activate the esim straight away or do u need to wait for physical sim delivery?

    • +1

The eSIM is activated from the moment of purchase. I have been caught out with them - you cannot buy them in advance of needing them, though the customer service may reset the plan if you haven't used them and you ask them nicely.

      • Thanks, oh that would be a way to get caught out

Anyone know if the credit on these packs can be applied to general use credit for an existing account..?

  • Can this be used for sim parking 2 years? Looks like it can be, just wanted to make sure

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16008184/redir

    • Will tag @ab c

    • That's a cost effective way to keep a number, if it works. Interesting ~

      • Can this use to recharge?

        • Can't be used to recharge an existing amaysim number, but you should be able to activate it as pay as you go credit which gives you $30 of credit to use over a year

        • Unlikely & feel free to contact Amaysim.

          Discounted starter-pack (eg $10 for $30 credit) are incentivised-offers to attract NEW services &/or customers away from other-carriers. Top-up is normal-price, NO-discount.

      • +1

        if it works

        Enough proof? https://ibb.co/JR4rPBDP

        $35 starter-pack credit: usage break-down,
        a.$10 for 7d @ activation & port-in mobile#,
        b.$10 for 7d, had issue with churn-sim & need a bridging-service,
        c.$0.12 call-OUT, accident.

        Remaining credit = $14.88.

  • Signed up for this while figuring out my next 12 month plan after Boost. I then was sent an offer for 25% off the next three recharges, so they'll probably keep me as a customer for a few more months

    • I did the same. I initially went PAYG but then switched to 28 day unlimited calls sms and 10gb data. Its also a way to check the Optus network around my place.

Coles have 80Gb Amaysim ones for $15

  • Anyone know if I’m able to data bank on different level plans? eg. I sign up for 50gb and only use 15gb, then drop to a lower plan for the future months?

  • Those who are on Amaysim's annual plans (12 months), did you get the usual 25% off on renewal + 50 GB Bonus data offer (if you had kept Auto Renew off)?
I got it last year, but nothing this time aeound. Tried chatting with the Customer Service Rep but they said they cant offer anything manually – it is all system driven.

Any way to get around this?

  • can this be used for pay as you go 365 days?

    • Yes, activate as pay as you go for one year with $30 credit.

      • Thanks

      • Whats the difference between this deal and the deal below if I'm only going to use the 365 day plan?

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/777559

        • $30 credit with this deal and current Coles offer versus $10 credit in your link. The $30 SIM is reduced to $10 but the original $30 credit is applied. Can choose pay as you go for one year.

          • @trixieb: Yeh so, there isn't much difference even if I have $30 credit and I'm only choosing the $10 plan 365 day plan? Correct? Or can the data charged at 5c/1MB be offset from the left over $20?

            • +1

@Homr: Sorry don't know. Will ask @ab c who would be more familiar.

            • @Homr: It doesn't deduct $10 from your credit when you sign up to As You Go. The full $30 stays as the credit that you can use against any calls, text and data. So it's exactly the same as signing up with $10 AYG except with more credit.

If anyone is interested in this promotion, but wants to purchase it in person from Coles with a Coles gift card, FlyBuys points or whatever, it will be available in-store from 30 April to 20 May.

    https://www.coles.com.au/catalogues/view#view=search&saleId=…

Must be activated by end of July for bonus data to apply.

  • +1

Coles has the same offer from 30th April. Purchasing from Coles avoids the preactivation when purchasing from amaysim online.

  • Was about to activate this today and it already activated for me on the 28 day plan? WTF? I wanted to 365 day plan

Contact amaysim support and they will adjust for you. Customer service with amaysim seems better than other telcos.
