⚠️ Disclaimer (for the inevitable nitpickers):
Yes, we ship to WA.
No, it’s not cheap — we’re sending a big, heavy, fragile appliance across the country.
We don't profit on freight, but Australia’s a big place and microwaves don’t bounce well. Eastern seaboard folks get cheaper freight — it's just physics (and couriers). Thanks for understanding.

Are refurbished microwaves really expected to sell for $400?

Aldi had a special buy recently featuring a $100 microwave.

    • For an entry level microwave with a generic brand, that sounds about right.
Our $400 Microwaves are Panasonic units which are typically a 3-in-1 - can also be used as a grill or a fan forced oven. They're a great space saving appliance for some people. And then why spend $800 or more at a major retailer when we have refurb units with warranty for half the price?

And then why spend $800 or more at a major retailer when we have refurb units with warranty for half the price?

Because one needs the manufacturers warranty with these things. With your business name registered only 7 months ago, how can we be sure you will be around to provide service? And why is it registered to a house in Greenfield Park?

        • -4

Well, if you're going to do an ABR search - at least learn how to use it to its full potential.
The trading name is 7 months old. We've been around since 2016 though and still growing. There's a big difference between a trading name and a business registration.

          • +2

@Microwave Factory: Why do you have a new name? Did the old one get a bad reputation?

And you basically just repeated what I said. I said the name was registered 7 months ago. Are you trying to hide something?

            • -5

@2025: You're really showing your IQ level at this point… I'm not going to bother explaining the difference between a trading name and a business name and why businesses use both.

Anyway, jog on to your next post mate :D

Wow, resorting to personal insults. Is this the level of customer service you typically provide when someone asks just a couple of questions?

In the interests of transparency, here is the business name record for these guys

              • @Microwave Factory: QC ELECTRONICS PTY LTD was indeed registered in 2016. Your website is copyright 2025, your Facebook hasn't had any comments since 2021. Clearly a thriving trusted business.

@seanbaussie: Yup I thought I’d first look at auDA registry for info about the web domain, saw that it was kinda new, and a few minutes later my IQ was called into question by the rep.

Anyway, D&B list the principal as one “Ivan Zovko”

Is this Ivan commenting here? Or a staff member or what?

"Nitpicker" here. Can you tell us why you haven't listed any bargains in the post? It feels like an ad to me.

    • -8

Some people consider massive savings to be a bargain - how about you?

Can't really deny that the prices are unbeatable for what they are. Look at our models, then go compare them to the major retailers and see for yourself how big the savings are.

    Joker prices!

There's no deal here; this is just an ad for overpriced kitchen appliances from what could be a ghost store.

  • I had a top of the line Panasonic microwave a few years ago, steam and all that. The lining failed and rusted within 2 years, (it was painted)

Panasonic replaced it under warranty. The replacement became rusty within 1 year, and it was replaced too. I ended up selling the second replacement, while it was still new, for about $400.

Stupidly, I got another midrange Panasonic, and you guessed it, it started rusting.

    • +2

Small suggestion, after every time finish using microwave, open the door for 1 min, let the steam out, it prevent rusting. In my workplace, every brand has rust including LG, Panasonic due to heavy usage. But my own Panasonic microwave is still like new.

      • I have religiously done this since I was a kid aha, so it wasn’t that :( But yeah, that is good advice, but it didn’t save it.

I will now only go stainless steel linings.

    • I mean, at first I negged this deal because of issues with the product, and that’s why this comment is here. Is it too late to change that to issues with merchant?

  • Can you guarantee these second hand microwaves aren't cooked?

    • -2

Certainly can - they're all sold with warranty. You're also welcome to collect from our warehouse and check it out before you buy.

  • Popcorn time

I just use a pot on the stovetop.

I just use a fresnel lens placed in the sun.

        • I just came here for the comments 🍿

          best one so far 🫡

    no deal
nice try on the side hustle

  • +4

The title was edited by a mod because "up to 50% off RRP" is meaningless. You're meant to list some actual bargains & not be rude to members.

Using lots of emojis doesn't make a bargain either.

  • +6

What does the hashtags even do?

    #OZBargainApproved

And no this is not OzBargain Approved. It's also misleading to compare your refurbished prices with brand new RRP.

Wow this is a disaster of a post. You having a bad day rep?

You should know after 4 posts how this site works. Neg for poor rep behaviour. No one wants to do business with someone carrying like you have.
