    RIP 9070xt

    • +2

Until the 10-15% price increase on NVIDIA cards kicks in.

But for now, 5070ti is the pick imo.

      • Source on the price increase?

        • +2

Here's an article on it. Obviously don't know the validity. Hope it doesn't come to fruition because at least on these cards pricing is becoming (kinda?) reasonable.

          • @wintermadness: the article starts with clickbait and ends with the actual news: "There is some hope that the measures could be temporary; however, following the news that the US and China have agreed on a trade deal that should cut tariffs by 115%, thanks to a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs. As with latent price increases being passed on to consumers, however, it could be some time before prices start to fall."

And yes, as we now know, Trump begged China to make a deal, which has reduced Tariffs to 30%. and al computers and computer parts are still exempt from tariffs anyway. The whole tariff nonsense has just been theatrics so far. Not that MAGA morons will ever acknowledge the truth.

      • +2

        That’s unless you want Linux/SteamOS.
So far, the RX 9070 XT is the best all-rounder graphics card for building Steam machines.

      • Depends. I’ve heard of driver issues on NV’s side, but my experience with 9070xt hasn’t been flawless either.

    • damn thats cheap!! just for context I paid 1800 bucks at launch for the 5070 TI so this is a bargain. JUST BUY IT DON'T THINK!!

      • +15

That time they programmed us to think $1375 was cheap for a mid-range GPU….

  • +6

i'm hoping for 1900 or so 5080 for eofy

    • Do graphic card even get cheaper over time?

      • Used to happen, but no longer for the foreseeable future.
Crypto bubble, AI boom and tariffs are increasing prices.

      • 4080 super did go to around 1400 at one point so it's certainly possibly, even if that's still too expensive for that tier of a card for me.

    • Got thisone from Palit 1 buck less than 2k from the same store, there was only a handful in stock, so this deal got quickly moved to insufficient quantity thread.

Hope it goes to the desired price, just watch it.

    • What's the point? $500 more for 15%?

  • +8

You can also redeem a free copy of Doom: The Dark Ages Premium Edition according to a comment in the previous deal from same seller.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16486212/redir

    • Thanks, I just added this to the description

    • -1

Game must be redeemed via the NVIDIA app on a PC with a qualifying graphics card installed.

Looks like the code can't be sold to anyone without the 50xx card.

  • +5

Finally hodl paid off. I feel that there is so much stock sitting on shelves and I think it will even go lower soon enough. Its buyers market now. Hail gamers 🙌

    • +31

      buyers market

      $1400 midtier GPU

      • -4

        buyers market

        $1400 midtier GPU

So what? House prices can be over a mil and if supply is higher than demand, its a buyers market, forcing sellers to lower price, which is happening the same for 5070 ti. Its going down down down!

    • +2

Historically, June has best prices. But the Doom promotion ends in 23/05.

      • In correction, ends 21/05

  • +8

Holding for sub A$500 gpus again 🤣

    • +5

      5030 6gb?

      • No idea

        • +3

made it up, but at this rate will probably exist soon enough, and around that price

          • +1

@vanyellow: back in the day i upgraded from an pc that had a gt 630m.

To a MSI gaming gtx 1050 ti 4gb!

I used to think that was flagship top tier! Didn't even know it's like on the lower end of the ten series haha.

      • +2

        3dfx Voodoo

    • Better to get a used card at this budget.

      • What would you suggest at ~$1400 used? RTX4080?

  • 331 mm L

    • 😏

  • +4

This seems to be the v1, revised to exclude the vapor chamber cooler

    • +3

I'm sure the vapor chamber coolers are better, but I have this model and it barely cracks 60c in games.

      • You have this model AND revision or you just have this model which means you might still have the earlier revision that HAS the vapour chamber?

        • +5

I have the v1, so no vapour chamber.

      • What's the coil whine level of this V1 model? Has to return one palit 5070 for quite strong coil whine

    • Why do you say that? They have 2 listings, one is v1 and this one is not.

      • It's in the listing description. I assume palit have discontinued the OG because the v1 is cheaper and they want more sales by being the cheapest 5070ti in a lot of regions according to Reddit posts.

      • +1

both product pages say they're "V1", so I'm not too sure what's going on. Have asked the store for clarification.

edit: store has confirmed both products are the same (v1). They do not have the vapour chamber version available.

  • +1

How does potential RMAs work with this ebay store if I ever have an issue during its warranty period?

I've had to RMA various PC parts in the past and its been pretty easy through places like umart msy or scorptec (just drop it off and let them handle).

    • +5

As far as I know, this eBay store is just a front for Shopping Express (I think), so I wouldn't worry too much. They've been good to me in the past.

      • +1

Would I have to send to them via post if I have an RMA issue? (I'm located in qld)

Couldn't really find on Shopping Express website.

        • +1

Yeah, it would be through the post. I had to send back RAM before and it wasn't too much of a hassle

      • Yeah, I've bought heaps from them in the past and they've been 100%

  • +6

Don't let Jensen get another jacket.

  • how does this compare to the $1139 9070xt power color red devil I got? is it worth the $300 difference or should I be happy with my purchase

    • +5

Just be happy, you got it at a good price before AMD pulled their pricing shenannigans.

At the $1249 it'd cost you now the 5070ti is definitely the pick.

    • How did you get Red Devil for $1139? 9070 XT would be better valued if for only $1139

      • +1

It was 1139 on pccg around launch date. Now its 1250

        • No way, I remember it was $1299 for Red Devil. Did you mean Reaper?

          • +1

@Meteor Anarcom: It was definitely the Reaper, the red devil has never been that low. Only the reaper and the steel legend have been $1139.

    • I got my 9070XT for $1139 too, for that price its still better $/performance than this 5070ti price.

      • Definitely, but it's impossible to get a 9070 XT for that price now :/

  • +2

Got one, been waiting for long long time, and 9070xt is still around $1200-$1300 so i can say this is a good price at the moment. Mainly for gaming and stable diffusion.

  • GTX1080($600 new) -> RTX5070TI, would of kept holding off if it wasn't for the upcomong Doom game requiring Ray Tracing.

    • Yeah. Adjusting for inflation, the 5070 ti in this deal is a little more expensive than the legendary 1080 ti at launch. Cards are still way too high.

      • The card is far closer to a 1060 than a 1080ti.

  • Is this worth an upgrade over a 4070ti for 4k?

    • I’ve sold mine and have bought the deal from Centrecom.

Kinda tempted to cancel that order and get this to save an extra 60 bucks..

    • Problem with this card, it is not SFF friendly. But then again I sold my beloved Inno3D 4070 Ti Super. Waiting for good deals to come by for card length <300mm…

    • +1

      12% improvement, no way

  • So how quick can it load up my spreadsheet

    • +3

It can't, only 16GB of VRAM.

      What is this, a macbook?

  • +2

I pulled the trigger and managed to push this down to $1293.74 by:

    1) Activating an ebay plus 30-day free trial (if you're making this purchase even the monthly price of $5 is worth it to save the $48.75 if you don't have the free trial)
    2) 3% discount gift card (Macquarie Bank Marketplace)
    3) 3% cashback (Top Cashback).

Coming from an existing 3080 / i9-9900 / 32GB 2666Hz system and mostly looking to play AAA games that look prettier than they would on PS5/XSX, I am keen to try MFG and hopefully be able to sell my 3080 for $650-$700 to make this a net upgrade cost of $600. Appears there is also a 30 day return window, which makes me feel relatively safe! I guess Doom is a nice throw-in, though I've never played any of the other games.

    • +1

3% off GC also available on Woolworths GC. Also, this shop seems to use the original price on the invoice which is $1675, so further $152 off through TRS if you are departing Australia within 2 months

      • Yep - I left off TRS refunds as not universally applicable and a bit more circumstantial based on travel plans. Though at ~ $1150 all-in, this is probably the best live deal on a GPU that doesn't involve a pre-built (which would be completely unrealistic to take overseas).

Not sure on the point about invoice price - I do see the order price is still $1675 but TBC whether it comes through as such on the final invoice (which I assume I will get in the next 24 hours).

        • Now when you mentioned TRS this deal is even better… Can you please report back what amount is on the invoice when you get it?

          • +1

@Azro: I bought at this store 2 times and did TRS last year. It was just like what I said, but I'm not sure if it has changed. I don't think it changes

            • @Meteor Anarcom: Good to know - did you have to ask for invoices from the seller or did they come with the shipments?

          • +1

@Azro: as confirmed by the other user, the GST is based on the original list price of 1675.

    • With that system you're likely to be bottlenecked by your CPU in many titles

    • What did TCB track as for you?
      It tracked $0 for me.

      • tracked as $1353 - seems to have dropped a bit off the actual purchase price but inconsequential.

        • I mean what was the cashback?

          • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: Still says pending - I do see this note on the website.

"Cashback can take up to 7 business days to track. If it has been that long, start a Missing Cashback Claim."

      • Same, because we used a coupon code most likely.

    • +1

      from Top Cashback - Cashback is ineligible on the following: use of any coupon codes (unless specifically listed on TopCashback);

  • +3

AMD need to kick in those rebates again

  • $600 more for the 5080… Hmmm….

  • +1

So This card is seeling for 111% of standard retail of $1509 before the 15-20% off.

    • +4

Its always been like that with ebay deals. Mark up over the usual price and discount with codes. In most cases the end result still works out cheaper than anywhere else.

  • +1

It's probably better to wait 'till the Super series are released.
These are likely to drop in price further.

    • Aren't super versions supposed to launch in 2026?

  • Thanks OP for the find. Pulled the plug after waiting for a while now.

  • I'm a noob, what are the differences expected between the "V1" and the vapor chamber version? Higher temps and louder fans on the v1?

    • The difference is no vapor chamber. Temps will be higher.

  • Does anyone know whether the Pc-builds' bottleneck calculator is reliable?

    Currently: i5-11400F, 3060 Ti, 3440x1440 gaming monitor
I understand CPU bottlenecks can occur at 1080p, and GPU bottlenecks can occur closer to 4K. But I'm gaming in the ultra-wide 1440p range?

Dilemma: buy this 5070 Ti, or wait for 5070 Ti Techfast deal.

    • Buy this, then if 5070 Ti Techfast deal turns out to be too good, get that and sell this GPU.

      • +1

This, and don't forget to tell Techfast leave the GPU fully sealed

    • +1

Your CPU won't be a bottleneck, you'll be fine

  • Good ole days of yore some 25 years ago - 6600GT 🤩

  • +2

No Vapor Chamber on this one

  • Does the doom deal end when it's the 21st or can I activate on 21st? (Worried might not get it in time)
