Using it since last deal from Amazon, great unit.

    Plenty of range and speed

Excellent unit, had it 16 months and very happy with it. When I am ready to move to WiFi 7 I will consider the Flint 3 (GL-BE9300) WiFi 7 router.

      • or you can get a mesh setup ;)

Waiting for it to pop back on sale via amazon again.

  • Good deal. Some may want to hold for flint 3 wifi7 q2 fy25 release.

  • Buying direct do we need to worry about wifi bands being regionally locked like we do with Asus?

I'm guessing the country that you enter during setup determines what frequencies can be used?

    • Ive got the same question

The answer straight from the horse's mouth…………………………….

        Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Just as you thought, the Flint 2 have region-specific WiFi frequency limitations due to regulatory requirements in different countries/regions. The available WiFi frequencies can vary based on the router’s sales region.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions or need additional assistance.

        Best regards,
        Carry

  • Good deal, makes the comparable Asus RT-AX86U Pro look expensive at $135 more.

    • I was looking at purchasing the Asus RT-AX88U Pro, it had the same specs as the Flint 2 and was more than twice the price.

That is why I took the chance with the Flint 2 and could not be happier.

      • I bought an Asus RT-AX86U Pro 2 years ago, but if I was buying something now, I'd get the Flint 2, especially if I were running Wireguard.

  • I grabbed one from this deal and also picked up the Beryl from this deal. Paired them with WireGuard, tested everything — now I’m all set to kick off my travels with the Beryl in hand.

  • tried to make an account and order it. For some reason it says it wont deliver to my Melbourne address. Nothing strange about the address, std house. Anyone else have trouble getting it to Australia?

    • No issue here when I ordered. Probably the Flint 2 doesn't like the colder Victorian weather patterns and instead prefers warmer climates such as Brisbane.
