The premium nbn plan is 100/20 to save you a click. Pretty laughable when Superloop offers 1000/50 for the same price.

In less than 4 months everyone gets an upgrade anyway. 100/20 becomes 500/50

      • *cries in FTTN

        • Are you not eligible for a free FTTP upgrade?

          • @InsertCrow: Sadly renting in an MDU with a Strata Manager who refuses to believe there’s any issues with FTTN so won’t even put it to any sort of vote by the owners to even look into the upgrade options.

I can’t complain too much, I hit the FTTN lottery and somehow connect at (and hit speeds) of 142/53

It’s been about 12 months since I had some dropout issues so any day now though!

            • @MBix: Rough go of it with the Strata, but at least your speeds are much better than mine were on FTTN

              • @InsertCrow: Absolutely the only thing that’s keeping me from sending the Strata a weekly letter Shawshank style

            • @MBix: Oh. How is tony abbott? Say hi for us n

            • @MBix: Where are you and which provider? My kid is moving in a place with strata too with Fttn. We will try to get it upgraded. She will be getting Aussie as they play lots of 4K and video games

              • @fozzie: I'm in Morley WA mate, I've bounced around providers because I'm very cheap. When things are working fine I haven't really seen a whole lot of difference (streaming and video games over here too) it's when dropouts and speed issues occur that certain providers differentiate themselves for me. Aussie, Superloop and Launtel have been the standouts customer service wise.

Here's hoping the Strata Manager at her place will hear things out and approach it properly instead of just washing their hands of it!

                • @MBix: Thanks for your reply. As also wfh she will probably stick to Aussie bb. I am lucky and have HFC. Recently moved to Spintel and love it.

      • I'll give it a + if it's still here by then :p

      • So everyone on FTTP that has 100/20 automatically gets bumped up to 500/50 for the same price???

        • Also hfc. I moved with Spintel now on 250 plan at $80 lifetime. My plan will become 750 for the same price. I’m in Sydney and get good speeds. I figured I wouldn’t get a cheaper 100/20 and deal the deal now.

Got an email from Superloop “ After 2 June 2025, the price of your 100/20 Mbps plan will be adjusted to $95/mth”

      • What is it now? And are you on a 6 month discounted plan?

        • Nah I had the discounted price for first 6 months and then been paying $89 since last 2 months now.
Got email this arvo and on same email they also offered “ A 2-years price pause: Introducing Superloop’s PriceLock 100/20 Plan” for $89.
Rang cancellation team, they offered pretty much the same thing, said I wasn’t interested and proceed to cancel.
Will churn to this TGG plan next month if still available or something similar.
          Cheers

Pleeeease!!!!!! Telstra, can we have some more??????

Big, old, lumbering Telstra still thinks it's a monopoly for home internet and can charge what it likes.

As they do and certainly won't give a damn about you or me , big money , big corporations 💯

  • If you already on Telstra upfront plans you billing Would normally start from Next billing date so can get up to 30 days free as well
Cancel or churn after 1st month.

This has definitely sparked my interest

    • Can someone please explain how billing works and how I can get up to 30 days free? Also, will the gift card be sent after one month?
      Thanks

      • I think the 30 days free comes in the form of already having another Telstra Product on Autopay and signing up possibly the day it ticks into a new billing cycle.

Theoretically it should then churn your service over that day but your first billing day will come a month from then enabling you to get 1 month free and the gift card

  • Telstra Bigpond Cable. It's a great service.

  • excellent deal…will signup for two plans

  • Cancel or churn after 1st month.

So this is just a $95 discount on a $200 GG gift card? $105 profit.
    Are there any catches?
