You're not a Finder member
How and when will I get the $500 reward?
If you're eligible, here's what happens next:

Eligibility check happens by 14 July 2025
Visa card sent by 31 August 2025
Activate your Visa card by 30 November 2025
The card will come via email from our fulfillment partner, Blackhawk Network.

Make sure your payments are up to date and your policy is still active when we check.

When does the $500 Visa card expire?
Once you activate your digital Visa card, it will remain valid for 3 years from the date of activation.

You'll receive instructions on how to activate your card when it's sent to you. Just make sure to activate it by 30 November 2025 - that's 3 months after the issue date - so you can start using it before it expires.

Can I add the $500 Visa card to Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes, you can. Once you receive your digital Visa card, you'll be able to add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and use it just like you would any other card in your digital wallet.

You'll get setup instructions when the card is sent to you.

What if I entered my details incorrectly?
To qualify for the reward, your first name, last name and email address must match exactly between your Finder quote and your HBF purchase. If anything doesn't match, your reward may not be issued - so double-check your details before completing the switch.

Can I claim this offer if I've used another HBF promotion?
No - you can't combine this reward with any other HBF promotion, corporate discount or offer (except for the direct debit discount). If you've redeemed an HBF promotional or save offer in the last 12 months, you won't be eligible.

Who do I contact if I haven't received my reward?
If it's after 31 August 2025 and you still haven't received your digital Visa card, check your spam folder first. If it's not there, contact Finder's customer service team with the email you used to sign up.

Other important stuff
This offer is run by Finder (Hive Empire Pty Ltd, ABN: 18 118 785 121).
The reward is fulfilled by Blackhawk Network. Their terms apply too.
Finder may earn a commission if you switch through our service - but we're here to help you choose what's right for you.
Always check HBF's terms and conditions and privacy policy before signing up.
We may change or end this offer at any time. The latest terms will always apply.

Does anyone remember the details of the TCB/CTM/see-u deal? Did you need to stay 60 days to get the $275?

    • +1

I believe 60 days is correct. I enrolled in Bupa through TCB. My sixty-day stay with Bupa concludes on May 25th. If I choose this offer, will they contact Bupa to cancel my policy?

      • +1

Only if you tell them you are currently with Bupa

    • +1

Cashback will be confirmed after your insurance product/service has been active for at least 60 days, or 90 days for all energy plan purchases. Payment may take 50 - 90 days after validation.

      • +1

Legends. Thanks for that. TCB/CTM now have 90 days for all listed on their website so just wanted to double check.

      • Mine was confirmed before the 60 day cut off (last week of april)

        • Yeah mine was the same. Once it's confirmed they can't reverse it so to speak?

  • i can not see the $500 cashback words anymore, offer ended?

    • yup, seems like it

      • +1

Kinda knew they had a quota, which is why i signed up right away after i saw the deal

        • +1

          well done you

          • +1

@U30004: I suspect it was suposed to be "up to $500" rather than everyone gets $500. Someone probably did a copy paste of a previous code or template and forgot to edit

    • I can still see it. No changes.

        • It's still available as far as I can see

          • @SR9: I personally would trust what the T&C say rather than what pops up on the website

            • @triviums: They are not letting me sign up. It shows up in the comparison, and "Go to Site" button is missing for hbf.

  • +2

Damnit, missed out! I should have signed up when I saw the deal earlier today.

    • damn i was waiting until 21st lol

      • +1

Why wait. You can enter a start time for policy

        • yeah dumb move by me lol, i do have a email saying complete switch get $500, link shows the $500, going to take a risk n sign up, worst case i get 6 weeks free

          • @RogueWolf: I did the same. I took snapshots and kept them for proof.

            • @Chhaava: will contact them tomorrow, was no email stating it was withdrawn, did you get any hbf confirmation email after you signing up? haven't received nothing over an hour now

              • +1

@RogueWolf: I got HBF confirmation instantly when I signed up 15 minutes ago.

                • @puffinfresh: hmmm wonder what i stuffed up, maybe put wrong email in

                  • +1

                    @RogueWolf: i didn't receive an email either

                    • @deskii: ok so not only me, guess find out tomorrow

                    • @deskii: ok found out the issue, its because i've had a hbf account in the past so it gets flagged sometimes & the backend have to manually set it up, will be up in 24hrs or so

                      • +1

@RogueWolf: My guess is that they wouldnt be able to tell you whether you made the cut for $500 gc. I've never had an account so might be a diff issue. Will call up

              • +1

@RogueWolf: Yes I got an email from HBF about the policy confirmation.

  • +1

Does anyone know what time it ended? not sure if I applied in time

  • I haven’t signed up but have saved my quote link. I can still see the $500 GC offer in my quote link…

  • +1

hmm, why is it over already when their page clearly says it ends 11.59pm 21 May 2025?

    • +4

We may change or end this offer at any time.

  • +1

Did anyone who signed up in time receive any confirmation from Finder yet that their signup was tracked for the $500 promo?

  • I signed up at 5pm yesterday for start of policy today (20th).
I got a welcome letter from hcf at 5.36pm
Should that get the $500 ?

  • Anyone else still waiting on the confirmation email from HBF?

  • Anyone contact Finder to find out what's going on?

  • I just signed up now, i can still see the $500 offer at Finders website.

    • +1

The term changed to end at 6pm on 19 May

      • +1

I notice its just changed now, i signed an hour ago and it was still there

  • +3

    Update:
I did a chat online with finder. Being that I joined before 6pm on 19th, I'll get the $500. Even though start of policy is 20th.
Screenshot of chat done. And saved transcript.

    • how do u get the chat option?

      • I logged into my finder account.
Clicked on dashboard, then chat on the bottom right of the screen

        • +3

          Thanks!!

          Me:

Hi. I'm after some clarity on the HBF $500 promotion.
It appears you've changed the terms to end the promotion early, but I wasn't aware of that. I did the comparison during the time frame early yesterday, then received an email from you that I later used to sign up last night. You didn't issue an email to say the promotion had ended early, so how was I to know? The $500 promotion was still showing on your website when I followed the link from the email. Will it still be honoured?
Additionally, there appears to be confusion around the HBF 14 weeks free that was also listed on your website. Does this invalidate the $500 promotion, and if so, why were they both shown as part of the results?

          Finder:

I understand that you wanted to check if your application made it to the cut off.
I can confirm that you have clicked through our HBF offer link.
If you're eligible, here's what happens next:
*Eligibility check happens by 14 July 2025
*Visa card sent by 31 August 2025
*Activate your Visa card by 30 November 2025
*The card will come via email from our fulfillment partner, Blackhawk Network.
Make sure your payments are up to date and your policy is still active when we check.

          Me:

Thanks. And in relation to the 14 weeks free?

          Finder:

For the 14 weeks free, this offer is available only on the HBF website and this is a different offer than what we have

          Me:

It was also advertised on your website alongside the $500 offer, but I think I understand what you're saying. The $500 is administered/offered by you and the 14 weeks by HBF. So the 14 weeks is up to them.
But from your side, it won't impact the $500 offer?

          Finder:

Yes, you can get both Finder's offer + hbf's 14 weeks as long as you qualify for both Finder's + hbf's eligibility criteria

          Me:

          Great. Thanks for your time.

          • @puffinfresh: The problem is the eligibility criteria say you can’t get both so they could still turn around and not pay the $500. You were chatting with either an AI bot or somebody overseas that knows less about the promo than you do

            • +1

@pennypacker42069: It wasn't a bot. The T&Cs are ambiguous. I have a rep confirming "Yes, you can get both Finder's offer + hbf's 14 weeks". If one automatically cancels out the other, then they shouldn't say yes.

I have more than enough to argue it should be approved (T&Cs can be read in my favour, both promotions displayed on their website, confirmation from their rep) and can push it with them if needed.

              • @puffinfresh: Hopefully you get it but the Finder terms do say “Reward cannot be claimed in conjunction with any other offer.”

Saying “you can get both offers as long as you meet the criteria” would be very misleading but it is not the same as simply saying “both offers can be combined” and gives them a chance to screw you over

    • I delayed the start date to 21 May but signed up before 6pm 19 May, while chatting to HBF about something else I asked about eligibility, they said because my cover start date is after 19 May then I am ineligible. I mentioned that the terms stated otherwise when I signed up but the rep reiterated their position.

Jumped on a chat with Finder, they advised I would be eligible and quoted the original terms back to me. See how it goes I guess.

  • Tncs have been updated to:

“This promotion is only open to Australian residents aged 18 and over, and starts at 12.01am AEST 15 May 2025 and ends at 6.00pm 19 May 2025 ("Promotion Period").”

    • Yea, it was there on 20/5/2025, 11:02 am. I`ll keep a print, lets see if they honour it

  • +1

Someone really did screw up. Now the free weeks also removed from comparison. Looks like HBF and finder are in recovery mode , trying to recover a much cash as they can.

  • Am I eligible for this promotion if I'm with See -u by HBF?

    • +2

      Deals over so doesn't matter.

  • I've signed up for this offer. Do you think the 2- and 6-month waivers for extras will still apply?

    • no reason it shouldn't, if it stated that when you signed up
