  • Are these a good laptop?

    • Picked one up from a previous deal posted here, it's definitely a laptop, performance is as you'd expect. Probably just be my unit but two main issues - trackpad loses sensitivity or stops working altogether now and again. The other, I'm not sure if its the coating on the screen or if it's the backlight/panel but at lower brightness there's a pretty clear outline I guess?

Keep it around because it's <1kg and plastic.

There were 10 items available when posted

oh please, this in 15" or bigger screen sizes !

  • counting down … now only 2 available

    • +1

I see 8 available. Never trust ebay stock numbers.

      • +1

You're right. When I looked it said 2 left. You posted, so I looked again, and it said 7 available.

            • @GordonD: Well the refurbished are out of stock now. This was a good deal. First decent laptop deal ive seen in a while on OzB. Most others are still trying to sell 8th gen intels for 300+.

  • +5

OOS, going to post a deal tomorrow for some Dell and Acer notebooks.

    • Order placed 18/05, Marked my order as shipped with no tracking, any idea how long will it take for delivery to arrive Melbourne?

      • +1

Going to need a little info mate. Shoot me a pm with your order details and I’ll have the teams look into it for you

    • Hi sorry to piggyback but in terms of the "used" models still available — aside from the examples of bios lock or faulty usb or ethernet port, are they in poor cosmetic condition generally (e.g. scratches or dead pixels on screen) and when you say battery can be <80% is there generally an absolute worst case scenario floor (like say 50%)?

      • +1

other i can tolerate but bios lock is not good. should separate the lots of bios lock and cosmetics.

        • It depends on the batch. TBH bios lock isn’t the end of the world as long as everything that is needed is active.

        • I didn't notice that, that's a dealbreaker. Can't justify spending that much on a laptop when you don't know how the bios was setup and you have no ability to change it.

    • Any chance on some desktops sales as well?

  • Got one last time and they were a nice solid unit, did get hot and fans would spin up easily, and the battery life wasn't great
Most annoying thing is it wouldn't sleep when closing it, maybe a windows 11 bug

    • +4

      The i5-1135G7 is 11th gen.

  • got one, tnx!

  • +4

Wow, was 399 before… Jack to 439 then provide discount

    • +1

Yeah noticed this. Followed this unit before. Was as low as 320 just the other day via ebay+. They jacked both the 'very good' and the 'used' condition models to match the ebay sales. Makes me wanna not consider them for my next refurb purchase..

      • +1

        Jack's back! 😜

      • +1

And the "very good" condition isn't that either. Scratches everywhere and feet missing. Looks mistreated so returned mine.
