    Only for 2 months ?

  • -5

Another trick 2 months no bargain here.

    • +1

How is it a trick? Simple churn in/out and save.

      • Is churning NBN easy? How's modern transferability?

        • Yes, you just need to be aware of your existing NBN provider's cancellation policy.

For example, Superloop require 30 days notice prior to service termination.

          • @topherboi: Thanks! How about reusing your existing modem router (from provider A) for provider B?

            • +2

@Fobsessive: Your existing hardware should just work, however, some providers require you to patch into a different data port on your NBN network termination device and/or configure manual PPPoE credentials.

            • +1

@Fobsessive: I’ve churned between Origin and Leaptel so far and it’s always the same port and I’m using a Netgear router

    • Mods told me it’s allowed to post as new deal, since the original deal that I posted was only those 2 offers available at that time

  • +1

    notice to churn out?

    • -1

      Probably , don't you always ⁉️

NBN prices are getting out of hand.

Literally every other developed country has cheaper internet for less.
There's a lot of fat cats getting rich off this.

Had an ex-coworker who was a director/sales liaison with NBN and retired at 55 with $2m in super and a shitload in the bank.
Said it was a license to print money under a quasi government flag. Private bonuses, pay packets, conditions and next to no oversight. Contractors were taking the piss and double billing for the same works etc. Same thing that the NDIS is doing.

And now we're all paying for it.

Telecom Australia Mark 2. I still remember the days of $10/minute for overseas call That's what what happened when you have a government backed monopoly

Time to look at 4G/5G broadband alternatives

      • +2

Yeah and the best thing is Telstra's business model is now providing coax cable infrastructure to the NBN. Literally government renting their own assets back from an organisation they privatised…

        Classic liberal logic.

        • +2

Once again , look at your current government and what they do to benefit Australians in general. Stop looking through the lens of left versus right because that's the game plan of both major parties , a country that's divided will never be united .

          • +2

@Murkymerv: But when one half is primarily responsible for the majority of the long term issues we're facing it's kind of hard to brush that under the rug…

            • -1

@Drakesy: Watch all of this(if you like) or from 20 minutes in , this can be applied to your country.https://youtu.be/Ul7E-9n0__E?si=q8zG7rL6EzItJFoK

          • -1

@Murkymerv: I can say one party mode like China is much much more efficiency than Au, as long as the leader does not drunk or something else.

            • +2

@Louisbargain: Hows the chinese apartment market going? Lol

              • @Be careful: same as Australia, some builder broke this month and thousands of people unable to get their house

    • Your ex-coworker should have let you in on the gig.

      • Sadly it was before my time :(.

    • You need to factor in the long distances required to cable australia vs for example.
      Elgium.

  • Can i set a future connection date when placing order?

  • +1

I don't know you but continuously porting in and out providers because of special offers is stressing me out.

  • Not available in Victoria Bundoora

  • Anybody knows the notification period for Amaysim when we have used this promo ?

  • I'm transitioning from FTTN Optus and currently using the provided modem. My setup includes a meshed TP-Link Deco WiFi network. Which modem/router would be the best choice for churning between telcos?

    • Re-use the Optus VDSL2 modem for FTTN. Can you swap from FTTN to FTTP?

      • Not eligible yet.

        • When you become eligible just plug the Deco to the nbn NTD. Did it give you a month estimate for 2025?

          • @Twix: No ETA - nbn full fibre isn’t currently available at your address…

  • Floptus nbn no fanks

Thanks OP signed up for a churn next month. Stay for 2 months then go somewhere else eg Leaptel cheers $45/month for NBN 250 is awesome even if it's just 2 months. Cost of living pressures mate!

    • You’re welcome mate
Unfortunately I’m stuck with Origin for another 4 months as I’m on their 50% off plan currently. So I can’t even churn on this deal lol

  • i find that amaysim is slow and blocks a bunch of social media sites - insta, FB, and other random sites such as ABC. has anyone else had this issue

    • +1

Nope. Been with them for 3 weeks now and speed has been fine and I've had no issues with websites at any time of the day.

      https://www.speedtest.net/result/17703094740

My only issue now is I'd like to swap to this 250/25 plan for $45. I'm currently on the 100/20 plan for $40 with another month to go. I wonder if they will allow me to change to the 250/25 plan?

  • Does amaysim NBN use CGNAT?
No, it doesn’t use CGNAT at this stage to deliver our home internet service, no need to opt-out!

Was I the only one who got the email on Thursday for 50% off for 6 months… Thought it would be all over here.. $45 for 6 months for 250Mbps yeasss..

    • No got the same. Had the $10 circle of friend for son and got transferred.

  • I just connected with amaysim nbn100 today and I'm not happy so far. The websites keep buffering even tho download on speed tests is 70+. Upload is usually less than 1!!!! Anyone know a fix? Might move on to another provided if it doesn't fix itself tomorrow. The agent kept saying keep an eye on it for 24hrs and come back if it's not resolved, such a waste of time!

    • Ive forlt the 250. New mesh system and
