      The bringer of light!

  • Is there any issues flying into Singapore and not connect to HK and return from Singapore without boarding at HK first? This deal is cheaper than flying to Singapore only for the dates I checked.

    • +1

Yup. Miss one leg, they cancel the remaining legs because (airline logic) if you missed a flight you can't possibly board the remaining ones. :/ Also they know their pricing structure and this lower price might be to fill those legs to Hong Kong, so they don't want it impacting their Singapore route where there may be more demand at present (hypothetical, I don't have their internal stats).

      • Ahh that makes sense, thanks for clarifying.

      • +3

Usually, it is cheaper to fly from A to B to C than just from A to B because ABC is competing with AC direct. In this case, cathay pacific for example.
Most people would be happy to pay slightly more to fly a direct route. So just going to Singapore, most people will just fly with them regardless of the price, however, hardly anyone will fly to HK on Singapore Airlines unless it was significantly cheaper than Cathay.
At least this is my theory.

        • this make a lot of sense

  • Seems to be all 2+ wk stays if I do a quick scan on the SW site.

  • These stopovers are quite brutal imo, but good price. I'm too old for this stuff now, but definitely took advantage when I was a young battler.

  • Waiting for those ~750rtn flights into Japan via Singapore Air again :(

  • Not sure how this works…

Click on the Perth link and it shows Air Asia flights

    • It shows all the flights sorted by cheapest on said date. YOu can then use the filters to select the airline of your choice.

  • Would anyone know if this applies to Scoot as well? Looking for a MEL > KIX flight for November and not sure if we should be holding out or booking now (Scoot 625 per head)

  • Maybe I'm a noob, but I can only see Scoot or Vetjet in that price range. I can't find anything about Singapore Airline in Beatthatflight website

  • When does the sale end?
