In addition to their exceptional fares to Hong Kong yesterday at present, Singapore Airlines, one of the world's most popular airlines, rated 5-star, and the second best airline in the world in 2024, has great prices to Vietnam!

While there are cheaper direct routes on low cost carriers, sometimes it's more pleasant to work in a stopover, have checked luggage, food, wifi and entertainment.

Layover airport is Changi, the 2nd best airport in the world too.

  • Singapore planning to cancel Brisbane flights?

    • +1

Seems unlikely since they only just introduced a 4th daily flight out of Brisbane

      • Correct, it continues to increase and have capitalised the situation and have established it as a leader in this segment and its connecting flights to South and SE Asia post covid. MAS is still struggling with management and aircraft issues however they are starting services again in Dec 2025.

        • Brisbane - Ho Chi Minh City (1 Jun 25 - 28 Aug 25)

Gold Coast and Tasmania also have deal limits in 2025 compared to 2026 for the rest.

  • Was there in August last year and the heat was brutal.

  • Commercial flights are for suckers, I'm just going to borrow one from the Trump Presidential Library.

  • Waiting to pounce on Japan or Thailand. Come on!

    • Overtourism galore there atm. Locals aint happy

      • Over tourism in Thailand, I don't think so it's never recovered from COVID. Their economy is in the shitter. Japan, seen some videos stay away, it's like the Vatican during July/August, basically a heard of cattle unable to stop, just pushed along in and out the door..

    • I believe a lot of airline sales are co-govt funded. I don't think Japan & Thailand are chasing extra tourists at the moment.

  • I would still prefer a direct flight, always go with Vietjet no exactly the most glamorous but I sleep for 6/7 hours and I'm there..

    • what price for xmas on Vietjet compare to other airlines?

    • I had no problem with vietjet. I challenged myself with carry on only and thoroughly enjoyed not having baggage.

I am pretty sure the song they play on loop at landing and takeoff constitutes a war crime in some nations, though…

I flew to hcmc in September last year for $350 return from Melbourne
