I got a shipping quote on the website of: $8.08
Their eBay is standard shipping $10.50

      • +2

So why are they charging more on their eBay listing for shipping? What next..just pay shipping like COTD sales?

        • Maybe to cover Ebay fees?

        • +1

Although thats understandable, pretty sure it's against Ebay rules

Plus $8.08 postage to Sydney. Don't think ~ $2.50 per bulb is a great price.

Also you often get CFLs free, or used to, from various council or state government initiatives. I have enough to last me for years.

2 for $2 at Woolworths (their own brand).

    • Aren't the ones the Rep are advertising low power globes? It's easy to find cheap incandescent globes…

As noted above, this is ridiculous as the same seller has these cheaper on their ebay listing. This is no bargain at all.

This isn't a bargain. It's just a filament of your imagination.

I got 2 for $3.50 at Woolworths. 14W Woolworths brand fluorescent "energy saver" spiral globes with screw mount. Warm white.

(Side comment:Also having the government man come over this week for 20 free "energy saver" globes :D )

Rep's website has them for $2.50 each, Woolies on sale is $1.75 (43% cheaper)

Good deal if you're desperate for bulbs and cant wait for them to go back on sale.
Not good if you're a true ozbargainer and get them free/on sale.

    • +1 for filament, LOL

    • Do you know if Woolies have the Cool White bulbs too? I've been looking around but most cheapies I'm finding are the Warm Whites which I am not interested in. If so I'm heading to Woolies tomorrow :D

      • They have day light(cooler than cool white). I am guessing they would have the cool whites too. I prefer day light.

        • Oh, okay, day light is the one I want then. I had cool white and daylight mixed up. Thanks :)

"Rep's website has them for $2.50 each, Woolies on sale is $1.75 (43% cheaper)"

      $1.75 is 30% less than $2.50, not 43%.

      • Looks like he actually meant that the rep's is 43% more expensive, and got it reversed or didn't know you can't swap percentages like that.

  • Not quite cheap enough to get me interested but not far off. Would be interested in some Cool White bulbs, I originally decked out my house in Warm White and now I don't like it so I'm slowly making the switch, a 10 pack would help move things along since LED prices still aren't dropping.

    Rep? HinT HinT…

    • If your interested in led lighting then check out shopping square, it's a big plus when they do cheap shipping days but you can pick them up for around $5-$6 a piece. I haven't done the math but a heavily used globe should pay for itself within ~2 years.

      • I never thought to check them, never knew they even sold globes. Thanks for the heads up I'll go have a looksie
