Thanks mate, another internet tab to keep open and intend to learn about markdown but never actually do.
Looks guiltily at udemy course collection

        • Gpt will do it for you

      • Is the C7K equivalent to US market QM7K and C8K the QM8K? The QM7K is getting rave reviews stateside and the QM8K was released 2 days ago I think.

      • So c855 is the same spec with c8k but for this year instead?

    • Where does the C6K fit in?

You probably don't need to copy/paste the whole specs table, but if you do..

TCL lol. My dads aged care room has a TCL TV and when you adjust the volume, it doesn't even have a display on the screen showing what level it's at. Even 1990s CRT TVs had that "feature".

Majority of OzB prefers the new TCL models over the higher end comparable TVs for their value for money… I think you are part of the minority
      P7K, C7K, C8K are great TVs

Do not be concerned, the 2025 models have volume display

    • Honestly I hate that. My Samsung volume change (soundbar via ARC) takes up a distracting amount of space. Really annoying when I'm constantly changing it to avoid waking the kids at night. If I could disable it I would.

  • Hey everyone,
I'm looking at TCL TV models and was wondering: is the new 2025 P7K series likely to have better specifications than the 2024 C855 series?
Appreciate any insights on how these two compare!

    • Nope. Its a lower range and not really worth at the price in my opinion. C855 is a solid TV. In 2025, the equivalent model to the C855 from TCL is the C8K in Europe. The C8K builds upon the C855's features, introducing TCL's new WHVA LCD panel with wider viewing angles. Additionally, the C8K boasts up to 4000 dimming zones (almost double the C855) and up to 5000 nits peak brightness.

  • Harvey Norman has it for $1224 with code. Price match at jb

  • Sorry, isnt c656 better to compare with p7k? Im in the market for big tv from 75 85. Should i wait for EOFY?

    • +1

      Wait for c6k deal

  • Looking on TCL's website the refresh rate for this tv is just 60Hz not 144Hz

I went online with Harvey Normans tech support to ask them about it as I was looking at the 85" version and they said it was an error on their site and they would look to get it updated as it was incorrectly listed in the specs. Looks like JB have it listed as 144Hz as well but not spoken to their support, I was thinking about VRR and my PS5 so that's why I questioned it.
