[Windows] Luxea Pro 7 Video Editor & Screen Recorder Lifetime License Free (Save US$99.99) @ Acdsee

1000

While I was trying to clean up my computer before switching to a laptop for our upcoming travels, I visited the ACDSee website to deactivate my Photo Editor license on my current setup. There, I was greeted by a pop-up offering a lifetime free license for Luxea Pro 7, their video editing and screen recording software.

If you're interested, be sure to grab yours! I'm not sure how long this offer will last.

You'll need to submit your email address, and you'll receive a download link and a license key right away.

acdsee is still alive, gives me old memories :)

What do you mean by old memories?

I still use my paid version of ACDSee Classic every day!

Fantastic piece of software without the bloat of later versions. Will be a very sad day indeed when Windows breaks it.

Is there a reason you didn't move to Irfanview a decade ago ?

        • Mass file type conversion feature.

        • +1

I tried it, but it didn't have some of the features I use.

I should possibly have another look, but every few years I have a look, and find them all lacking a feature I use.

Also … why change when it still works brilliantly?

Offer ends June 11th, 2025 at noon PT

The email with the key says it expires 28/05 12pm PT. Still worked though.

      • Why would the keys expire if it's lifetime? Or is that the window to create acdID account?

        • I'm assuming because the luxea installer will point to version 8 - if you didn't install and activate it, then you wouldn't be able to download version 7 after that date.

No lightning bolt emoji in the middle bit of a downer

  • The PC MAG review is quire good considering you can get it for free.

    For comparison:

I have a low-end and old PC, and I use the VSDC software (free version), it does everything I need and is getting regularly updated.

  • is there a watermark on this free version?

Any recommendations for Linux (Mint)? I've only found one and reviews range from great to malware…

  • You'd think you'd be able to copy and paste that serial number into the required field but yeah nah.

    • +3

You can, just have to hit control-v

there's no paste option with mouse, though.

  • Interesting. Anyone know if it disables because you have Netflix open somewhere like NVIDIA shadowplay. Getting real tired of not being able to capture game clips while watching Netflix on my second screen 😔

    • Try OBS

      • I don't think OBS can defeat netflix drm

Just use Davinci Resolve. Not sure why people would use this.

    • +1

My PC doesn't have enough grunt to run Davinci smoothly. That's why I use VSDC. Things might change when I next upgrade my PC.

If you mainly want screen recorder you can't beat OBS

  • I do a tonne of video editing, using camtasia currently. Might try this software.

Snipping Tool in Windows 11 now includes a screen record function for those that prefer a native option.

  • Thanks OP! I used Microsoft's Clipchamp as a free option to edit some videos but was disappointed to see it only lets you export in 1080p. Free Luxea Pro solves this :)

Just be aware that you'll be spammed continually. (well, twice a month according to my trash bin.)

    • Definitely use a burner or proxy email for these free newsletter signup type things

      • yeah it is a proxy email, I should cancel it (though I just reused it for this one). I could always just unsubscribe too :)

  • Thought this was a scam because it wasn't appearing in my userportal.

But today 4 items appeared, so all good. Thanks OP.
