    Has anyone used the unlimited sim in USA? Specifically for hot-spotting? I'll have my laptop and will be needing to hotspot for work. I contacted them and they advised 3G is "up to" 10mbps. The "up to" is the concern of course.

      Hello are you referring to our T-Mobile Unlimited plans? these are not designed to be used as hotspot due to its unlimited in nature.

      Hotspot speed will be slow, slower than 10Mbps for sure.

          If you are referring to our T-Mobile plans all we have is the information provided by T-Mobile which is "3G" speed, but looking at forums it maybe be as slow as 600kbps.

          We have AT&T / Verizon SIM that has specific hotspot allowance and our generic "USA eSIM" also has hotspot allowance

    Can confirm these guys provide real time support when overseas. We had 2 Spanish SIM cards that didn't want to activate properly, didn't download the APNs etc etc. Took a day or 2 (still needed to holiday with beer, diving etc etc!) however was sorted.

    You might be able to get cheaper SIMs, however you definitely get the sweet spot of good pricing + support with Travelkon.

    What do I do if my Europe trip is 37 days? I don't want to spend the money for the 60 days. Can I get a 30 day eSIM and then "recharge" it for another 7 days? Or do I need to buy two totally separate eSIMs at different times? This would be much more annoying.

          Are you looking at the unlimited or fix GB plan?

          We always recommend users to install just before their flight (a day or two) so at least the eSIM is ready to go. Once you land overseas just turn it on (+ roaming), set the esim as your mobile data source and it should be up and running within a minute or so.

    Do i only need to activate it once? Singapore being the first destination. Realised theres a disclaimer with Hong Kong Activation.

      The esim has 180 days validity so you are good to go!

      You can install the esim prior to your trip, the only countries that need registration would be HK & Taiwan and you just need to do this once.

      Bali eSIM are local eSIM that requires passport registration, only works I when you land in Bali first.

      Indonesia eSIM are roaming ones that don't need passport registration just turn on roaming and you are good to go!

          Personally for hassle free travel we would just use the Indonesia eSIM without the registration requirement, if you need to use Gojek/Grab you can register using your Aussie number.

    I used the "Asia 5G eSIM 12 Countries, 10GB" when going to Singapore, Japan and South Korea.
    It worked really well.
    The only things to note were:

    1. As it is data roaming (from Hong Kong) it chewed my battery a bit.
    2. As I was on a cruise ship and kept going out of range at night, I would need to reboot my phone in the morning when back in range (Else it would drop out constantly).
    3. I couldn't find a way to check my data. I just realised I was out when the data was super slow.

    What's the best esim for europe + uk? I'm doing England/France/Greece (Santorini)/Swizterland/Austria/Germany/Italty/Spain. I'll be driving around remote in a few places so reception is ideal. Trip length is also 31 days which is a bit annoying since most sims I see do 30 days.

      The Orange one will be perfect, and actually it can do 31 days however Orange requires passport registration to use the eSIM beyond 30 days.

      So technically it should work for 31 days as long as you register.

    Can vouch for these guys. Used their eSim in Vietnam. Was moving between cities and the mobile data became spotty in HCMC. Contacted their Whatsapp for support and got instructions on which settings to change within a few minutes (turns out my phone was looking for the wrong cell towers).

      Yes both of these options will work in UK and Iceland

      The only difference between the two are, the Vodafone eSIM has calls/text and you would need to provide us with an activation date.
