nbn Plans for 6 Months: 25/10 $46.90/M, 50/20 $59.90/M, 100/20 $65.90/M, 250/25 $84.90/M, 1000/50 $98.90/M @ Kogan Internet

I'm actively looking for NBN deals for my next churn as coming to 6 month with superloop. This seems like the cheapest for 50/20 (which i'm actively looking at). Even the 100/20 is cheaper than what you get with Exetel ($65) and other similar providers

Unlimited data, no lock-in contract, no activation fee.

Don't know what backend they use — Update: TPG.

For some reason it could not find my address even though it came up in the initial screen. There are also reports that you cannot setup a signup date in advance. I guess with these hurdles it is no surprise that their prices are so low and I suppose many people may still struggle to join them!

Try at your own risk!

250/25 and 1000/50 is for FTTP and HFC only.

Plan name Typical evening speed Mbps Monthly price for 6 months Ongoing monthly price
Bronze nbn 25 25/8 $46.90 $68.90
Silver nbn 50 50/17 $59.90 $78.90
Gold nbn 100 100/17 $65.90 $83.90
Platinum nbn 250 250/21 $84.90 $94.90
Diamond nbn 1000 800/42.5 $98.90 $108.90

Dodo NBN similar pricing but for a 12 month discount

  • Don't know what backend they use

    TPG.

Comments from previous deals say Kogan NBN uses CGNAT

    • whats the implications of this?

SouthernPhone has 1000/50 for $85. Been on it for 5 months. No complaints

Good to hear , I've just joined for twelve months on 100/20 . I'll hopefully have a similar experience to you 🤞

    • Hopefully theur customer service has improved

    • Can you schedule churn date with SouthernPhone?

BtW, Which free router did you guys get eero 6+?

Superloop has 30 days notice just in case you haven’t notify them. I was caught by this.

    • Forgot about this from the last time. They just got me for another month :(

Kogan and TPG… only way this could get worse is somehow involving HN.

  • +2

Somehow $65.90 is cheaper than $65

    • Sorry I meant better than $65 and $69 ranges that other providers have for 50/20

      • The Exetel NBN 100/20 plan is $75/month, not $65/month. Actually, you are not wrong.

  • Mate has 100/20 plan for $60 for 6 months. However, OzB reviews are not favourable for Mate.
TPG has 100/20 plan for $64.99 for 6 months.
Which one would be a better option: Kogan. Mate or TPG?

Mate nbn used to be good, not anymore.

      Avoid them.

      • You guys have the same mates?

      • Thank you for your reply

My last churn was with Mate on 100/20 and it was bad. Like I constantly had to turn off my video on Zoom calls or it would badly lag. Streaming would sometimes buffer. All fixed since I changed. I won't use them again.

      • Same Here…too many dropouts that I had to switch to hotspot while switching to another provider

    • Mate sucks. I’ve been churning every 6/12 months for 5+ years since my FTTP install, mate are the only company that I’ve cancelled early because the dropouts during video calls were constant.

  • Do they offer static IP?

    • No.

Kogan is unable to offer static IP addresses at this time.

  • Has anyone here got any experience with them as a customer? I'd love to know how responsive their customer service team is.

    what about Optus?
    https://www.optus.com.au/fixed/flybuys
    $74/month for 6 months for 100/20
after 3 months you get$ 150 worth of flybuys

    • Optus deal came later than Kogan.
      Now Optus looks better.
Saying that I had lots of issues with Optus customer service. I lost hours of my time. Instead of fixing the issue they are constantly trying to sell you their other services.

  • The View Critical Information Summary of their 25/8 plans says maximum upload speed is 5Mbps when the promo blurb says typical evening upload speed is 8Mbps. Is the is mistake or deceptive advertising?
