  • anyone know of a good food processor deal?

Have negged the shop back unrealistic high cash back whenever it is posted, and it's for everyday market the last one that it happened with

Purchase at your own risk but a word of warning that's all

  • +9

Shopback declined 3 of my cashback on Everyday Market by adjusting them to 0 after a few months from the purchase. Even after uploading all my purchase invoice, they said:

We've confirmed with the store partner that the item you purchased falls under their non-commissionable category, which is why the cashback amount for this order is reflected as $0.00.

You'll never know what is eligible for cashback until Shopback says so

    • Shop back posts should no longer be allowed on ozbargian. The company are straight up dodgy AF

Unfortunately SB is just at the mercy of them. EM just come up with random excuses. I don't blame SB for not paying out if they aren't paid themselves. That's not a sustainable business model. What the cashback providers should be doing is cease trading with EM.

    Should i get PS5?

  • +1

Thanks OP (though I did purchase via topcashback and claiming against their highest guarantee offer instead)
already track at correct amount via topcashback

    • How do you make the claim ?

        • +1

Interesting, topcashback has a $50 cap, I wonder if they will match the $100 cap in ShopBack if we submit a claim

          • +1

@ozvictor: Not sure if you will get more than $50 cap as TCB has a $50 cap for Everyday Market. From my understanding it needs to be like for like across the board. It was mentioned in an AliExpress post that it was not possible to match the cap. I haven't done a price match at TCB.

            HCG at TCB:

The cashback offer must be a direct equivalent of the rate listed on TopCashback, i.e you can’t claim for a percentage if we offer an amount in dollars.

@trixieb: Item I was buying has a cashback amount under that limit (not buying a switch), so not the end of the world if it doesn't work, but well under cashback limits for both sb and tc so guess I'll see if it works.
Prefer dealing with tc any day of the week.

@SBOB: Great. Would work out then. Same, prefer dealing with TCB.

Everyday Marketplace + SB is not a deal. You CANNOT confirm what products are eligible. They can randomly refuse your cash back months later indicating the seller wasn’t part of the promotion.

Never had this issue with TCB so I’m unsure why it happens with SB. Generally however SB is pretty good.

  • Logitech G923 from Logitechshop for $399/$388 seems like a good deal if you include cashback.

  • +9

Wow. Based on comments here I just went back and checked SB that had previously tracked for purchases like this through Woolworths - only to find a combined $100+ had been sneakily rejected months later.

    What an absolute rort.

  • +2

Woah a lot of neg feedback…I'm not gonna waste my time for this dodgy deal.

  • +3

Don't waste your time with this! This is a great deal, but your purchase will either not get tracked or will get rejected after a few weeks. Woolworths, big w and everyday market are all shite

  • +1

This deal may be risky and may not track. A safer deal would be buying an EB Games gift card through the Macquarie Marketplace with a 7% discount. I bought my Switch 2 Mario Kart bundle for around $715. I’ve had mixed experiences with ShopBack, with some cashback not tracking properly, support not being the best, and a few issues still not resolved.

Can’t trust SB anymore after the BWS debacle

  • Once I logged in, it cleared the shopping cart.

  • +1

A Switch 2 Pro Controller on immediately tracked at 30% cashback, while a Switch 2 bundle tracked at 1.5% on another account. Seems highly likely they’re going to say it’s excluded, unfortunately.

  • EM are a joke. Good luck to anyone who purchased. Make sure you come back and tell us how your cashback never came through.

  • mydeal and everyday market are shifty. They track and then they reject it. You don't get any notifications of the rejection. By the time you need to dispute it, you're past the dispute period.

  • I've had 4 out of 5 cashback transactions tracked and paid out in the past with Everyday Market, so overall a decent hit rate.

That said, 3 of those required me to follow up with TA (Topcashback) to get them resolved, as they initially tracked at $0. Thankfully, we were able to fix those.

However, I’ve just noticed that one of them — a $180 cashback from MyDeal — has completely disappeared from my account. It was previously showing, but now it’s gone without any status update or explanation.

    • I purchased a “sold by mydeal” item too and it’s been 12 hours and still hasn’t tracked T_T

  • Purchase Amount:$9.81
    Cashback tracked:$0.05

Is that it or is it part of a strange process that will change to $100?

  • Didn't track, doesn't matter as EDM merchant simply cancelled the orders this morning with no notice or explanation

  • The other dodgy thing with EDM and MyDeal is that sometimes you order in one transaction from multiple sellers, then out of no where the seller cancels part of the order, so your whole transaction is invalidated. Usually it's because the seller says its OOS…. so why is it even listed to begin with

  • Has anybody had anything from this offer tracked at 30%?

    • +1

      Yup I have, I made a ~$110 purchase.

  • +2

Was tracked initially but now show $0…

  • +2

Confirming my switch is arriving today and it’s been tracked at $100 after I put in my claim.

    • Can you confirm if local stock or grey import?

      • +1

        Local stock mate.

  • My cashback was first tracked at 1.5% but after reaching out they corrected the amount and now the order is tracked at the $100 cap. Cashback is just waiting for order confirmation by Everyday Market.

    • Mine has been marked as Denied after I submitted an Incorrect Cashback claim. Have tried disputing the denial and will see how that goes.

    • Mine got tracked at 1.5%. Contacted them and they applied a second cashback amounting to the difference. So now I have 2 cashbacks totalling $100. I doubt they both get approved. What a pain.

  • Yesterday they told me it had been sent already, today they refunded.
