Yes, VA panel but well priced.

Other Lenovo monitors etc also on sale at Amazon AU ATM.

Its also on sale at Centre Com for the same price but not free delivery for me.

I just bought this when Amazon showed 1 left in stock. Dont get caught out like me and be sure to refresh the page to see current stock level remaining. At time of posting this deal, Amazon shows "only 5 left in stock (more on the way)", but the delivery date is up to ~4 weeks later than mine will be. It appears they are expecting more deliveries and extending ETA as they add more stock, so the longer you leave buying it, the longer you probably have to wait for delivery.

I was tossing up between this and waiting for the similarly spec'd HP Omen 34c to go on sale on ebay HP Store again for ~$400, as it was up until a week ago (I just missed the sale). This one is newer (released 4 months ago) and importantly for me, lighter, as I will mount it on an arm.

  • Any better alternatives?

    • Unfortunately we're in a lull period with monitors at the moment (or really, tech in general.)

OLED is rapidly dethroning IPS but it still remains quite pricey, meanwhile IPS is fading away rather than crashing in price as it seems the better manufacturers are opting to create OLED panels instead.

IPS was at its cheapest around 1-2 years ago. (The last best deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/774480)

What remains on the budget front is the red headed bastard stepson that is VA. It is pure nausea, pure and simple.

      Avoid and HODL.

Just got the supposed top 5 best oled monitor in the market now according to rtings from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/907973 for around 1k.
8 years ago I paid 1k for for an LG ultra wide IPS.

I'd say the market will probably stabilise around 1k - 1.5k for a high end oled monitor. And judging by the 2025 model of this monitor, they've stripped features while somewhat maintaining the price. Tech equivalent of shrinkflation.

Whether people find VA acceptable or not is very subjective. Im simply not prepared not pay that much for the amount I use it

  • pity its a Lucky Goldstar pos.

    • It's a Lenovo.
