  • Does this have an extra slot for RAM so it's dual channel?

    • +2

Yes, this laptop actually has a single screw assembly to install RAM, no need to take off the whole bottom.

nope, it is funded by head office

  • If you stack enough of these, you can use them to rest the axles on after stealing someones wheels.

  • You can get one with only 8GB RAM from Officeworks for $597 and stick 8GB in yourself for 20-30 bucks. That will give you much better performance than one channel of 16GB for less money, but no gift card.

  • 1334u is Iris Xe eligible, anyone know for certain if these laptops igpu are UHD or Iris Xe?

  • +1

went with the 8gb, can upgrade to 16gb cheaply enough, and they didn’t have, now to wait for the 16gb in stock except display. very impressive laptop for the money, and nice big screen if you don’t have an external monitor, now to wait for updates to download.

    • Would it be worthwhile to increase Ram with a 24mg stick together with existing 8mg (to make up 32mg) - but I gather HN as the seller is the only party to do any change of Ram to maintain the Warranty - If done by oneself - you would void the Warranty as I understand. I imagine they would charge a lot to just do that simple task - I haven't attempted it before and uncertain of the procedure or if once replaced new Ram if you need to get into the Bios or such and tweek something ? I guess it equates to gambling on anything going wrong with the Laptop within 1st 12mths (1 year standard warranty). Any advice appreciated.
