Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16GB Video Card $1359 Delivered (Excl. NT) @ Smarthomestoreau eBay

200
JUNEOFY20JUNEOFY22

Original Coupon Deal

Excludes Northern Territory, WA Remote.

According to PC Part Picker this is the second cheapest deal on this specific NITRO+ card (second to MWave at $1349 when factoring in KING120 discount, but they've sold out).

It seems to be one of the most premium 9070 XT cards, very quiet and cool (relatively speaking), so if you're willing to pay the premium it's the best of a bad situation with the current pricing (RRP seems to be US$600, so AU$1,016.40 inc GST if directly converted).

Also…

Sapphire Radeon PURE RX 9070 XT GAMING OC - $1278
Sapphire Radeon PULSE RX 9070 XT GAMING - $1245
Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16GB - $1225

Thanks to vid_ghost for making me aware of the coupon with their 9060 XT 16GB listing

Lol when did these become 1600 bucks?

    • +8

About the same time the seller knew that they could price them that high cuz of a $300-off coupon I'm guessing. They ignored my request to price match at $1469 haha.

Since retailers realized that any AMD GPU they list will get posted on ozbargain for 100+ upvotes regardless of price or competition.

      • Exactly that!

$599USD = $923.36AUD + $92.3 GST = $1,015.66. These cards will get to the $1000 and under price point once supply outpaces demand. maybe 6 months from now just after christmas.. boxing day sales.

For example the RX9060XT 16GB is:

    $349USD = $537.96AUD + $53.7 GST = $591.66

We have already seen that price a few days after launch here > $592.02 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/909648
and the RX9060XT 16Gb i still in stock at lots of stores for $629
    Less demand = cheaper prices.

Pretty sure there is way more supply than demand. GPUs aren't selling at all

Because people have realised how excessively overpriced they are, they've also been pushing prices up too.

It's also one of the first things to go when we're potentially entering a recession.

Think that's lowest price for the 9070 (Asrock), not 9070 XT? The cheapest price for this particular card is $849 USD it looks like.

      • Oh right. Yeah vastly different cards and prices. Where do you find this?

      • So that'd make it $1,308.57 + $130.86 = AU$1439.43

      • Actually looks like it's US$600 according to this (and Copilot): https://www.techpowerup.com/review/sapphire-radeon-rx-9070-x…

      • +1

MSRP is 600 in general or at least it's supposed to be.

        • Thanks, yep, so $1016.40 ($924.00 + $92.40 GST)

      • +1

USD retail store prices don't count because they have crazy demand vs next to no supply over there!

  • I think this looks way better for the same price. Its just stunning. Check out this YT shot of it. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/75AUm2ux01k

    • I'm a bit of a Noctua die-hard so the look works pretty well in my case :-) But yes the all white cards look nice (though not a fan of that RGB strip personally).

      • -1

The card i posted that i think looks better is a XFX Mercury Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Magnetic Air White Edition RGB, 16GB

    • Maybe a good choice for others wanting white - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/127039956869

    Nope, hold!

It looks like the tide is turning on the supply side, I’m seeing more available stock everywhere.

    • +7

Yep, i think once the Nvidia super cards come out prices overall will continue to drop.

  • +9

At this price why wouldn't you buy a 5070 Ti for $1375 instead?

Note: this one uses the 12VHighFailure power connector

    • Saw that today in a vid + it's obscured inside the chassis so has right-angle bend of cable (+ blocks the rear heatsink vent). So some care required I guess. Should have added a clip to stop cable stress so this was mitigated. Though reviews so far seem favourable.

But same video also pointed out lower 330W draw as reducing risk, but that doesn't really make sense to me cuz isn't the issue a short? Gonna draw as much current as the cable can carry.

    • Well it’s not really the cable that the issue but Nvidia’s implementation of it pulling unbalanced loads.

Also don’t think there been an issue on 5070 level cards.

  • Is this meant to be a nitro card? Seller must have thought it was gigabyte card

    • Why do you say that?

whoever made this site is the goat
    https://www.pgrid.com.au/gpus/radeon-rx-9070-xt
I waited for a white card for reasons
and was annoyed they jumped up from 1160 to 1250
I blame nvidia and aussie distributors for the price hikes

  • For anyone interest, it's a great card. It runs about 4,000 points above a regular 9070 XT according to Passmark 3D Graphics Mark (30,883 vs 26,890), which points it half way between a 5070 and 5070 Ti. And very quiet and nice design (if that's your thing). Final build: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/HGcbt6
