TerraMaster have dropped the price on two of its 4-bay NAS models with dual M.2 NVMe slots - the budget friendly F4-423 for $558.99 and the high-end F4-424 Max for $1199.99 (apply coupon under price)
Essentially the cheaper F4-423 features an Intel Celeron N5095 CPU with 4GB DDR4 RAM, dual 2.5GbE LAN ports, and PCIe 3.0 x1 M.2 NVMe slots. In contrast the F4-424 Max packs far more punch, boasting a 10-core Intel i5-1235U, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 8GB DDR5 RAM, dual 10GbE LAN ports, and PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 NVMe slots.
Both are suitable for all the essentials including network storage with RAID redundancy, Plex or Jellyfin streaming, Docker containers, video surveillance, syncing with OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and more. The F4-424 Max is better suited for heavier home use, such as smoother 4K Plex transcoding, running multiple Docker apps or hosting virtual machines.
For those familiar with TerraMaster, TOS 6 is a major improvement over the older TOS 5 and you can easily install your own OS such as Unraid, Arc Loader (Xpenology), Proxmox, Windows and more.

Cheaper one is N5095 or N5105? As I recall there is a difference (my qnap was advertised same that it can be either but came with N5105). It's enough to hw transcode a couple of 4K streams.
