Wow even these budget tablets have 120hzn struggle to use ipad air with 60hz

    • +2

It's more about battery optimisation that's imp with these power hungry displays, that's where LTPO comes in place which will add cost.

    • -1

I usually decrease my phone display down from 120hz permanently to get better power savings .. it's overkill

      • Everyone is different but since moving to 120Hz a couple of years ago, I changed my monitors to 120Hz too and have far less headaches now. I notice my eye strain and headaches when I spend too much time in the office with lower refresh rate monitors.

        • -1

you should probably get off your phone if you're looking at it that much :P

PC monitors are a different ball game - most people use for work :)

Dang it…I would buy if it was a min of 1080p

    When you're slower then Techfast…

  • Can someone guide me on the right path? I want to have a tablet that support wire/wireless Carplay and Android Auto, which can be used when driving, and when stop, can remove from the dash and it becomes tablet.

I think the problem is the mounting??

    • +4

You can get all sorts of different mounts like the sticky suction cups for the dashboard. The only gotcha when picking a tablet for the car is ensuring it has AGPS if you're wanting to use it for navigation. It's GPS supplemented by using your mobile network to provide faster GPS lock times, improved accuracy and performance.

Given this has 4G with a SIM card I'd assume yes. You'd need to message the store to know for certain.

Thanks, my car is Prius 2007, I watched lots of YT for head unit for this car, most is permanent fixed on the dash. To the mounting option, I think I have to find the mounting through the CD slot. This way will help the tablet stay away from direct sunlight (with battery).

        • +2

If you have aux in just use a cheap 7 or 10” CarPlay unit. Bought one for husband’s car had it for over a year and works well. No battery so you can leave on dash. Comes with attachment. Then connect your iPhone or android wireless. Costs $50 -100 depending on model

    • +1

Just get a head unit that uses carplay. trying to make a tablet do it seems like an exercise in frustration.

  • I bought a bdf cheap tablet for like $80 from aliexpress. only needed it to display music
couple of dissapointing things: there is some wierd battery drain, charging is super slow, havent found root for it and bdf wont give me the img files (I want root because i suspect there is dodgy software in the image causing battery drain)
Not sure if it will be the same on this one.

    • I've seen the BDF tablets and suspected there was something dodgy. Teclast has the same owners as Maxsun and you can buy their motherboards from Umart. Teclast never put anything dodgy in their ROMs.

  • Any deals on the iplay 70 mini ultra? :)

  • +2

Get yourself a magnetic charger adapter as usbc port on all of their tablets are piss poor. And no spare parts

    • Don't think a lot of people would be repairing a $140 tablet outside of warranty tbh. Nightmare to disassemble and easier just to replace. These aren't high end products where it could be more cost effective to put in the expense and time to keep them running.

      • Actually these cheap tablets are easy to take apart. No glue like Samsung ones. Even boards are modular. But you just cannot buy a replacement, umless someone selling used on AE

  • Is there a version of this but screen size up?

  • FWIW this listing is not an Affiliate one, so no extra cashback from ShopBack / CashRewards / TopCashBack.

    • +1

For those who don't read deal descriptions. Every single deal

      • AU$ based on current Mastercard rate, GST inclusive and doesn't stack with TCB/SB/CR cashback.

Username doesn’t check out; the throwaway line in the description is unClear as to why the deal isn’t stackable with the TCB/SB/CR. I’ve made that Clear through my comment.

        • Product needs to be affiliated to stack with TCB/SB/CR cashback and my description says it doesn't stack. Put two and two together and it should be blatantly obvious why.

Perhaps I've put too much faith in some people and need to make it even more clear 😅

  • Any issues with rom? CN vs international? Google store?

Any issues with using this for smart home wall tablet?

    • This is marketed directly for the international market and has a proper global Android ROM on it. You'll get Google Play etc.

It's fine for a smart home tablet.

  • +1

Cheap, but my personal experience with two Telcast tablets i've bought in the past haven't been great, screens seems top crack easier and one stopped turning on. I'd save and go for a Xiaomi, my mipad is still working after a few years of abuse.

  • can these play brawl stars?
