      It's Mraio's favourite.

      • Your spelled checker faild too

Nice been waiting for this. Remember ask for raincheck at counter if no stock in freezer. Thanks OP

    • I always forget about this. Does every store do it?

      • +2

Our local store told me they don’t do raincheck since covid. South east Melbourne

          • +5

@Ozbargainasaurus: Yep Coles definitely do, but Woolies don't. Another reason I have been shopping more at Coles lately. Woolies need to lift their game.

            • @billy_bob: Woolworths also do rainchecks now.

              • +2

@emchun: Really? Since when. My local keeps saying no.

                • +4

@billy_bob: I believe it was back around the end of Feb. It's also on the Woolworths website so you can show it to your local next time they refuse.

                  • +2

@emchun: I actually got offered a raincheck by a woolies staff member this week
( bit more hi-tech than coles)
                    Printed off with a barcode.

( says this is not a receipt in caps)
                    🤣

                    • @snappy1234: How many items did they let you raincheck? Like 6 pizzas?

                      • +1

@Ozbargainasaurus: I asked for two and that was not a problem.

Further down raincheck it does state
                        normal household quantities apply

So imagine could go for 5 or 6…

                      • +1

@Ozbargainasaurus: yes 6 is this max for all items

  • +2

    This or Dr Oetker?

    • +10

I remember the days of stocking up the freezer with Dr Oetker deals…

      • +1

I remember those days. I pizza per person.
Now real pizzas are getting expensive might have to go back to frozen… electric oven costs tho might cancel it out

        • +7

I buy pizza bases from the local kebab shop and make my own. They come out better than anything I've had at that price point and even some at higher price points.

    • À bit tired of oetker

      • Doc needs to give us some more variety

    • This by far

    • IMO for frozen pizza, yes

  • +12

I haven't tried these, but who the hell (not OZBers, obviously) is paying $11 RRP for a frozen pizza?

    • +10

I ask myself the same thing about a lot of supermarket items

The one that gets me is laundry detergent. They go on sale every couple of weeks, you’d be mad to pay $26 for a bottle instead of $13

      • +5

They just doubled the price of everything and half price every other week. Oldest trick in book dunno why everyone has fallen for it thinking good deals.

They probably realised now too some percent of people will pay the full price, and sometimes only do 30%/40% too.

        • I'm afraid it was doubling before COVID. Now its tripled. I recon 2l icecream price around $4 during half price deals, now I saw it on special for around $8 and rrp like $12.

        • dunno why everyone has fallen for it thinking good deals.

Because most people are stupid as fck.

Why anybody still does their regular shopping at Woolworths/Coles is truly astonishing to me

      • Like $50 for 30x 375ml cans of Coke, then $30 on "special'
Big business is the only way Inflation happens, because they 'can'

      • It’s mad to me that you would pay $13 when you can get 2L for $2.

  • Hows this pizza?

Why not pay a few more $ to get the fresh one?

    • Fresh one will not wait for you in the freezer. Well, not in its best condition.

    • +5

imo these are better. The base is the best I've had outside of an actual restaurant

      • +1

Thx for sharing. Will give it a go :)

  • +2

These pizzas have a surprisingly good base. I quite like the 'truffle' pizza.

After watching Atrioc’s newest MM, I’m starting to believe this is a recession indicator.

    best frozen pizza!

made in my little hometown in Italy 🇮🇹

    • -1

It reminded me of being in italy when i had it.

  • +6

I fed some to my italian mate and he punched me.

    • +2

That is because it wasn't plain enough

  • +5

I can confirm. This is the best frozen pizza ive ever had. I was in naples & rome sure its not the exact quality. But for $5.50 its a damn good deal and quality. Stocking up lol.

    • How about the aldi variants?

      • I tried the Aldi variety, but I liked this one. IMHO heaps better than Aldi.

  • +1

The fig sauce pizza is so good but they only have it at some Coles, the website doesn’t tell you where and just says “unavailable”.

  • +3

$6 Value Pizzas from Dominos… better value for fresh?

    • +15

I had Dominos last night. I would say Dominos was more expensive as I'm still paying for it 12hrs later.

      • Weak. A true ozbargainer could take it.

  • +6

    I also had a code SCORE10 for $10 off online order $50+.
9 pizzas + $0.50 chupa chup for total $40 after code. $4.44/pizza. Not bhed.

    • +1

Thanks, did the same but with a bottle of coke. old school meal deal ;)

      • Should get you through a day of meals

  • +1

These are ok, i wouldnt pay anymore tho. * Yes they are one of the better ones

  • These use to be good, the last two I bought were so dry and gross. Wouldn't buy again

  • +5

Where are the mushrooms sourced from? Asking for a friend.

    • +1

Not from Victoria that's for sure.

    • +2

supermarket that I can't remember the name of……

    • Near Leongatha.

  • -1

    Where's the beef?

    • put it on yourself

    • If referencing that old tv ad, bravo 😛

  • Anyone else read this in Ozzyman voice?

  • +9

Just had one - can confirm best frozen pizza I’ve had to date. Better than any dominoes pizza

  • +1

Bought two last night - can confirm the best supermarket pizza. Cooked them on the pizza steel in the oven and they came out just as good as the ones for $25 from the local pizza place who are Italian and make their own dough.

Will definitely be stocking up at this price!

    • absolutely, add some beef pastrami or cooked chicken breast ontop makes it even more better. basically the same quality of a $25 pizza lol

  • +2

Better than any of those vacuum-sealed refrigerated options too.
If anyone knows of any plain pizza bases this good, please share.
At $5.50, I doubt there’d be anything comparable but would be good to know for when this isn’t on sale.

  • all >Currently unavailable dammit

    • +2

Get a raincheck, i got one too

  • I grabbed one of the Formaggi With Fig Sauce and while cooking it noticed the expiry date on the box '19th Jan 2025' yikes!!! Vintage Formaggi.

  • is this cheaper than making your own pizza at home and use the oven etc.?

  • Last chance peeps
