Hi all, supercheap is having their EOFY sales and theres some decent deals and some not so decent, but this one caught my eye because getting the brighter globes for my car specifically is hard without putting in LEDs but they arent roadworthy. Anyway hope it helps some people

There are a select few LED drop ins on the market that don't do this anymore, and have a tight cutoff line. The STEDI and Phillips bulbs being two.
Osram makes the only legal (in Europe) PnP LEDs.
That hasn't been true for a while. Here's the page for the EU legal Phillips, for instance : https://www.philips.com/c-e/au/road-legal-led-headlights/ult…
Looks like powerbulbs are still cheaper for most things.
Roadworthy ha!
Bunnings sell some Narva gear including headlight globes cheaper then Supercheap auto. For Example I paid $12.55 for a H7 globe at Bunnings. Supercheap auto wanted $29.99 or $14.99 club price.
the whole "brighter bulbs" marketing is such a load of crap. cooler colour temp doesn't equal "brighter." while you think you might see better in the areas that are lit up, you'll miss whatever's on the periphery because warmer temp lights preserve your night vision better. and don't get me started on the daft (profanity) who drive around urban areas with their high beams on…
The "+100>" bulbs have very marginally higher output, right up against the maximum legally allowed. The tighter coils of course means 10x quicker burnout so 100% not worth it. I know from first hand experience. Blue tinted bulbs are actually worse than standard long-life.
i keep a log of how long bulbs last and absolutely agree the "performance" bulbs don't last anywhere near as standard ones. about 9 months for philips xv+150's was the best i got for lights that were on day and night.
another thing people don't consider is the extra heat that is also emitted which isn't going to help in preventing those plastic headlight lenses from going cloudy.
Narva bulbs are just rebranded Osram (I compared both) at double the price. Buy from powerbulbs and wait a week for them to arrive.
Legit? Thanks dude, I will, appreciate the looking out
Make sure to get the 12000k ones and adjust your lights up so everyone burns their retinas equally since that's the Australian standard now.
