LG 65" C5 4K OLED EVO AI Smart TV $2,995 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ In-Store) @ Harvey Norman

290

Title says it all.
Apparently can combo with a SC95 or S80TR for another $500 off the total package price as per below, but I've added both soundbars individually and went all the way to payment and did not see the $500 off the package price, so I have left it omitted.

"Receive $500 off the package price when purchased with an LG SC9S or S80TR Soundbar in the same transaction"

Just a heads up, if you do bundle it with the SC9S, the ONLY compatible rear speakers are the LG SPQ-8s, and they've been discontinued for quite a while. I spent weeks hunting down a pair before they randomly appeared in stock on Amazon, which is once again out of stock. The soundbar is brilliant and I got it bundled with a 65" LG C4 for just under $2800(!) but I wouldn't recommend it if you definitely want rear speakers too, I reckon I was super lucky to snag a pair.

Looks like you can bundle it with another Soundbar as well to get the $500 off, the S80TR which appears to come with rear speakers included. It's more expensive than the SC9 but adding on Rear Speakers would have pushed up cost anyway.

I got the SPQ8 from Good Guys eBay on run out for $62 back in Sept to go with my S80 Soundbar, they are great & makes my audio more like a home theatre set-up

    • DM me if you're interested. I can get you one SPQ8.

    • No WA :(

    Partner portal pricing -
    LG B5 65 $2429
    LG C5 65 $2699
    Samsung S85F 65 $1979"

I was aiming for a TV under $2000, but lately, I haven't found many good deals on the B4, C4, B5, or C5 models.

Should I pull the trigger now, or hold off and wait for a better deal to come along? And out of these options, which one offers the best value based on the prices above?

    • Go Samsung, much cheaper and just as good

      • Samsung don't support DolbyVision.

        • I thought LG don't anymore in 5 series, could be wrong.

        • The difference between using HDR 10+ and Dolby vision is very small. HDR 10+ is used when DV content is shown and trust me it's hardly noticeable. But if you want to spend a few thousand more for DV, be my guest. Diminishing returns.

You will struggle to find stock of B4/C4. You probably wont see C5 under $2000, the previous generations got as low as around 2200 from memory. The current C5 price isnt bad but if youre not in a rush you might find it around 2600 in coming months if previous years are anything to go by.

      • This is correct. If you want a good deal on C5, probably waiting til Black Friday sales…

    • See comment below, can probably get it very close to 2600 now.

I tried adding the S80TR and could see a $500 discount applied in my cart.

  • Novice OLED fanatic here, this Vs LG OLED G5. Any major difference? Use case is viewing & gaming. Thanks in advance!

I saw G5 and C5 in person and I can say the G5 is much brighter, I don't know much else about them.

I am after a new TV and ended up grabbing a 65" G5 for like $3900 (most likely overpriced), but I haven't bought a TV in 10 years so I thought it's time.

The C5 still looks great if it's more in your budget.

I think both are good for gaming but both? or just the G5 have HDR10 issues. From my knowledge that's mainly PS5 games?

      • Latest firmware has fixed most of the HDR issues from what i've read.

        • Oh that's good to hear haha, I get mine tomorrow hopefully.

      • G5 also thinner and sits flat on the wall (mounted), which looks really nice in your room.

    • You can use rtings comparison as to get an idea.

  • I can get the 65 inch Samsung S90F for the same price as the C5. From what I've seen they're unfortunately both WOLED panels. Does anyone have any input into which would be better currently? Use cases sport, gaming and general TV

    • +4

LG have opened quite a gap on Samsung in terms of image processing and accuracy. LG WOLED over Samsung WOLED every time.

At same price you'd go LG. You can probably get the s90f cheaper though if you go via samsung store, trade in TV and 10% off via support.

      • Maybe not after see comment below regarding 12% back at good guys…

  • +4

Goodguys have matched and you can get 12% back via cashback (ends today)

    • That should work with the bundled soundbar at TGG?

      • Also wondering of using the price matched price excludes from cash rewards cashback.

        • Purchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the Merchant site, including but not limited to employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching

    • Keep in mind that excludes GST so will be about an 11% discount - approx $2,668

  • Keen on a C5 or a G5, but is it worth bundling with the soundbar and trying to eBay it off? I assume the market gets flooded with these things.

    • Depends if you’re happy to go on risk with getting stuck with it.

  • Does the rear of the TV have a marble finish? Check out the photos in the HN link.

    • It does have a plastic marble finish on the B and C series.

  • Regretting not grabbing the g4 65inch for 2.9k couple months ago .

  • Just ordered the C5'77 for 3401.2 direct from LG using edu account.

  • Could someone please check how much the G5 77" are going for under EPP Login? TIA

  • $2791 one day offer from Gerry
