Terms and conditions
This promotion is open to members who have successfully activated the bonus offer within their Cashrewards account (Eligible Entrants). To qualify for the $5 bonus, Eligible Entrants must purchase a gift card from the Cashrewards Gift Cards store between 25 June 2025 12am AEST and 26 June 2025 11:59pm AEST with a minimum spend of $50 (incl. GST) on a single eligible purchase (Qualifying Purchase). A Qualifying Purchase excludes the purchase of gift cards directly from a merchant store. Eligible Entrants may track the progress of the bonus at any time on the For You page in the Cashrewards website or app. Bonus will only appear under My Rewards, and be paid into the Eligible Entrant's Cashrewards account, after the associated Qualifying Purchase is approved by the store. Cashrewards Terms of Use apply to the use of the Cashrewards platform and any associated purchase.       Clicking the offer in the For You section to bring up the description also activates the offer.

      When I navigated there it wasn't activated but when I clicked to view terms it was now active.

    Didn’t seem to need activation and already activated somehow. Bought $50 Amazon gc and the $1 cb got tracked but NOT the $5 bonus. Something wrong perhaps? Usually they track immediately

          They have changed things. This whole ‘For you’ page has resulted in these sorta Cashback often appearing approved in your account after criteria is met (skips the pending stage).

      Has the standard cashback been approved? The terms of this offer says you will not see the bonus cashback at all until after the standard cashback has been approved:

      Bonus will only appear under My Rewards, and be paid into the Eligible Entrant's Cashrewards account, after the associated Qualifying Purchase is approved by the store.

      When I last participated in a bonus cashback offer for gift cards (in May), the bonus cashback did not appear on my account until the standard cashback was approved.

        standard cashback is tracked but not approved. In the past they would've showed the bonus as well together with the standard cashback as being tracked at least. Will wait and see then.

        Clicked on the email link and bought a $50 card yesterday. As of 5 min ago, the standard cash back now shows as approved. However, the elusive $5 bonus still is not showing up at all. Under the 'For You' section, the bonus still shows as active.

          An Update: Before I could lodge a complaint with Cash Rewards, I received an email today acknowledging a problem and saying that the $5 will be added. It now shows as pending on my rewards page. 😃

        I activated the bonus offer in the email, I also made sure it was activated in the Cashrewards app prior to making the giftcard purchase of $50. The $2 from the PlayStation Store Gift Card worked, but unlike previous times where as soon as I activate the bonus it appears as pending in the account, there's no sign of it this time. The regular cashback has been approved. No mention of the bonus cashback still.

        Still showing "Active" in the For You section of the app.

        Even the email I received about the regular cashback looked weird…

    I'm pretty sure there's 2 promo.
    1. "targeted" - for any 50 gift cards
    2. "all" - for Bunnings, JB Hi Fi and AmpolCash

    My friend got the email, so she got the targeted promo.
    But that wasn't the case for me.

    That's probs why some people aren't getting the instant tracking after the amazon gift card purchase.

    This has been happening regularly with Cashrewards since they changed to this "For You" promotions.
    Give it a couple of days and it usually tracks or if it hasn't by Monday, just contact them.
    I'm surprised I am the first to mention it as this has been a regular occurence for months now…🤔
    I could find a ton of posts with the same flood of these responses in the thread. Its just how it is now, best you can do is go elsewhere or just accept it 👍

      I skimmed through some of the comments there and they had the bonus cashback marked Approved but didn't have it show up in My Rewards. That seems to be a different situation to me and what looks like a lot of other people here, where the bonus cashback never changes status from Active (and now says Ended).

    The normal cashback (2%) was tracked and approved, but not the bonus.

    Previously when I checked if I was targeted, the For You page had the offer as active so I thought it would just be added automatically. I’ll give it 1 more day and then send them a message.

    Mine has moved from "active" to "expired" with no sight of the $5 bonus. CR has gone from bad to worst.

    And it's so lame you have to wait 7 days before you can initiate a request for help.

        Same deal here. I've been preferring Shopback over Cashrewards for regular cashbacks if the cashback amount is similar for a while now. Shopback is a lot quicker with tracking a purchase and I've had a lot more problems with Cashrewards either not tracking a purchase or inexplicably denying some that should be eligible.

        It's disappointing to see they can't even manage to track purchases from their own platform properly and further dissuades me from using them in most instances.

          Yeah I've been having more issues with cash rewards than other the other companies. Also unable to withdraw at the moment because it won't send me an activation code. Had the same issue half a year ago, which was resolved, but the agent this time hasn't done anything since initially replying.

      I got that new offer too, but I'm not sure I'll bother without a resolution to this one. It's like they sent it as a taunt. Remember your $5 cashback? Do you dare try it again and risk getting burned again?

      EDIT 11:15am 27/06: The $5 bonus for this deal just showed up in My Rewards as Pending. Dunno if it required manual staff intervention for affected customers to get it going, someone here said CR were looking into it. I was going to wait till next week to contact them.
