Except the below average camera and slow charging, everything else defininitely worth the money.

    • +6

30W charging isn't really slow in this price range. Motorola advertises 50% in under 25 minutes which is ok when not comparing with the 68W+ in more expensive Edge series phones.

      • +10

The odds are that a slower charging rate will help the battery last longer too and the camera is fine for most normal uses. If I want really high quality then I break out the DSLR. Hard to beat at this price.

The earbuds also work fine with other Moto G phones e.g. my wife has a g82 and paired in seconds

    • How below average camera? Very bad?

      • Compared to what?

        • +1

marktable said below average, so compare with average.

I got a Motorola edge 30 neo two years ago at similar price. The specs are similar to this one, Chipset slower, but the camera is surely better than this one (mine is 64mp + 13mp), however the quality of the pictures are really bad. Quite often it cannot focus properly. Colours are not good. it might be a software issue, or maybe not, who knows. Amazingly, after using a gcam app version called LMC by hasli, plus a config file specifically for edge 30 neo, the picture quality has improved dramatically, like those middle range phones. Believe it or not, my nine year old Huawei mate 9 has better camera than the edge 30 neo. That's how disappointed I am, and why I call the camera below average quality. So my suggestion is, if you are picky about the camera, don't buy this one.

          • @marktable: 100% agree with you.

My previous was a Redmi Note 10 Pro and even that had a better camera than this.

      • I will say I'm not happy with the camera software and the forced HDR on,

have to use pro mode to take non hdr photos. (where it doesn't do additional processing)

      • Someone below said it was on par with their samsung s20fe.

I can say its 'flawless' in ideal conditions, first hand. Even in the dusk its pretty good.
Havent tried it at night, i dont own it, just have 1 in the family.

As an owner and user of this phone I find the camera struggles particularly in low light - this is in comparison to my Pixel 6.

Everything else about the phone I can't personally fault - fantastic phone for the price but you also need to be aware of its limitations.

Pick shit out of it , why don't you ⁉️
Excellent phone no matter how you spin it.

      IPS is a little disappointing

Theres one in my household, i assure you its not.

Its one of the best LCD panels ive seen; and dc dimming.

    • +1

Well, it’s a well below average price. Lol.

  • What’s the ATL?

    • I paid $259.19 from mobileciti a couple of weeks ago but was with eBay Plus which works for me as I also use for some Business transactions like Amazon Prime.

    • +4

I paid $230.30 from this deal.

I paid 217 when buying using the Amazon business 30% off first purchase.

I'm hanging out for the Trump T1 phone

Expect zero years of Android updates and zero years of security updates.

      • Details.

        I just want me a T1 - MPGA.

Bought one a few weeks ago. Coming from an S20 FE it's been great. Camera's decent enough. I haven't noticed a massive difference from my last phone.

Charges fast & battery lasts a couple of days with normal use.

    For the money. It's bangarang.

Thanks OP. Need a phone replacement for my pathetic Samsung phone. This Samsung phone has a vertical green line on it for about a month now just after 3 years of usage.

Unless your buying flagship , the rest are horrible.

  • Thanks grabbed one. Good price for the specs

  • Great phone, and far far more durable than last year or 2 of Moto's. This actually has a decent chassis and gorilla glass.

  • Interm of camera and speed, would this be any different if coming from Redmi 12 Pro. My phone started to getting hot when getting charge nearly full and it’s became laggy when hot.

    • +2

Put it this way, I came from a Redmi Note 10 Pro and the camera on that is better.

If you don't care about picture quality get this

  • The problem is buying screen protectors for this phone. Bought some from aliexpress, didn’t quite fit. Looked on Amazon, most doesn’t seem to fit properly as well.

  • How's the GPS and hardware compass in this phone? I'm assuming with 5G it would get faster location fixes for Google maps, Waze and Android Auto?

    • Long story short, my G75 which I purchased specifically for modem tethering duties on an upcoming holiday became my wife's new (temporary? only due to the camera quality in low light) daily driver on our current European holiday after she dropped her Pixel smashing the screen.

My wife used the Google maps (walking) setting on the G75 and successfully navigated us all around Prague and Berlin where there are a lot of high apartment blocks lining the streets.

She thinks Google maps rock, the fact that the phone had to play a pretty huge part in the equation didn't even rate a mention so I guess that shows how seamless the experience was on the phone.

Besides the camera (which really isn't a big deal for me personally) I could probably stop buying Pixel phones and live with this one quite easily and happily.

  • I bought some privacy screen protectors off two different sellers on AliExpress and both camera hole cutouts were too high and didn't line up. If anyone had some luck with a privacy screen protector from AliExpress that fits lmk

    Is it ATL?

Im quite impressed how this phone performs. bought one for my nephew and updated to android 15. Pretty amazing

  • How would this stack up against A pixel 6, think my pixel 6 speaker in the way out so looking a very reasonable priced phone for the Google environment

    • +1

      Pixel cameras are better.

      • Oks, not a deal breaker , aslong as the Motorola is decent enough and easy to use

    • Second this. No bass at all

  • What about g85, which one is better

  • +1

Considering this as a backup to g54 i have which does have a bad camera.Edge Neo 50 battery is a bit small for me..
Im surprised at camera comments about g75 though - been skimming reviews and the camera seems to do ok i low light and camera is ok for a middle range phone (seems to be described as such from a few articles.

At this rate they're going to pay you to buy this model…

  • Code has expired.

  • It is quite a BIG phone for those with little hands…

  • Still rocking my $97 Nokia 5.3 from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/636554

4/5 years later you'd think phones would be better than just 30% faster?

    • +1

This is more than 200% faster from benchmarks…

      • I just compared the SM6125 v SM6475 CPUs and it's about 30%. Some of the benchmarks are only 16%

  • I made an error above on an earlier post but can't correct it now, I actually own and use a Pixel 7, not a Pixel 6.

IMHO, besides the camera on the Pixel 7 the Moto G75 is just as good if not better in some regards spec wise than my Pixel 7.
