I see what you were trying to do… But really, there is nothing there yet.

Any chance we can get this republished once the offer is actually active? I'm not signing up for more Microsoft spam, and will forget by the time it comes around!

  • I have office home and student 2007 (Word, Excel, Power Point, One note) and it can be upgraded free to Office 2013 pro (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Access, Outlook, One note)

i haven't used any offer. I upgraded to office 2013 for free and after that i didn't want to use and i uninstalled it. The problem i had is when you insert an image to your document, the text run away to unwanted position.

        • How did you upgrade it to 2013? The offer is net on yet…

        • This explains it all doesnt it.
          LMAO

        • +2

          "i haven't used any offer. I upgraded to office 2013 for free….."

Then how come you claim to have successfully used the deal from http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/91344 which was not free?

        • Well spotted jdr!!!! +1

        • That's a simple fix. It's actually a feature, not a bug. You might have to right-click the image or select the text and amend the properties.

Not sure if this happens in 2010 but lots of apps allow you to do this

      • right click, format?

        • lol

    • Sorry but "This offer is not valid for…Office 2007 or earlier versions."

True ozbargainers will get it from another source, tsk tsk

  • Sofa king annoying Microsoft….
I accessed using chromium and the entire page was greyed out like the proverbial tick box. :\

  • Unfortunately my product isn't eligible to upgrade for free!
My wife being a teacher allowed me to get that government 'home use' version of 2010 for $18!
Not sure if I want to / or can get 2013 yet, but the 'home use' scheme is offering it for $15 according to MS site!

edit: followed JDR's link just then. I remember trying this a little while back and it didn't work. I think I have to wait for her school to buy a site license and/or the Vic government to initiate it.
It says it was unable to qualify the email domain used.
    Guess I can wait!!!

  • I just signed up. I bought Office 2010 Pro on the $100 student deal back in november and it's eligible for the Office 2013 free upgrade.

  • Received an email from Microsoft today:
"As you requested, we are letting you know that the new Office is now available. Return to Office.com/offer today to check your eligibility and download Office, for free.¹ This offer is available for a limited time only."
    The link: http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/offer/
I will try it tonight when I get home.
