  • Rep, is there a limit of the no of orders? I put in 3 and the total discount is $2.05 for 3.

Maximum 1 use per customer. Thanks!

    • you thought it was such a good deal that u wanted to buy 3 of those but you don't +1 ?! :s

  • No problem then, I wait for the next time.

  • just curious, what else can be done using this cable other than hooking up to USB storage and keyboard/mouse?

    • I've used this and plugged it in to a couple of things

      Additionally I've used it with:

      • Samsung HL-1865 Printer (with app) works amazing!
      • Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 (Headphones with Microphone)
      • 1TB External HDD with AC power supply
      • Dymo Label Maker

Our design is a lot better than that. Originally we were selling them but the new design acts as a hoodie for the USB if you accidentally spill liquid for example.

yours can also be found cheaper elsewhere (if patient with delivery) - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Micro-USB-Male-to-USB-Female-Host…

        • +5

i was thinking the same thing, i was sure i'd seen it cheaper before, i was actually going to post the same thing. Is it a sponsor of ozbargain or something? why does it keep getting so many posts and reposts for not even that cheap of a price. You can't just mark up the price 1000% and then claim a 80% discount. The only thing i would say about this is faster delivery, but say something about that, don't claim that it's a bargain.

        • +1

why does it keep getting so many posts and reposts

Excluding the time it was a freebie, this is the 2nd time.

        • +2

3rd time actually, not including the card reader.

        • I don't agree with moots here…

But I did order 2 cheap USB extension cords form China, waited 5 weeks, never arrived !, got a refund in the end, a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME for $2ea, when I could have paid $3ea for the same thing within Aus !

As far I would like to have saved that $1ea or $1.15 in this case, I'd give it to the seller in Aus and get the damn cord asap, for its intended purpose…

Frustrating at times, waiting for stuff from China…

As far as this deal goes, I've seen this price before…

yea 3rd time for this product if you include the freebie, or as i said 2nd time excluding the freebie(as that was a deal)

Anyway, it's just really a time vs money thing. In this case I'd easily pay the $1 or so extra to get it a lot faster if I needed it. Though the main reason I'd buy it off ebay is so I don't have to give another seller my details just for something like this.

        • +1

          thanks, CHEUJC.

i dont like random dodgy online retailers who like to play pre-order games on somethings already out there. just bought one from that ebayer. buying from ebay is a no-brainer.

waiting for 2 weeks is not problem at all. i am not in a rush. cant believe there are people who desperately want this cable right now/as soon as they saw this "bargain".

        • Agreed. Heck, I don't think this guy's "business" even has an ABN number!

      • +7

        No just no. Hoodie? Really?

I can sell a red USB OTG cable and claim that it is far superior as the colour red helps to ward off potential thieves.

Hence I'll be selling that at $10 a pop which is a steal considering the included anti-theft function.

        • Homer: Not a bear in sight. The Bear Patrol must be working like a charm.
          Lisa: That's spacious reasoning, Dad.
          Homer: Thank you, dear.
Lisa: By your logic I could claim that this rock keeps tigers away.
Homer: Oh, how does it work?
          Lisa: It doesn't work.
          Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: It's just a stupid rock.
          Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: But I don't see any tigers around, do you?
Homer: Lisa, I want to buy your rock.

curious to know how YOU designed it?

  • Cheers, just bought one.

1 use per customer and still aint cheaper than other stores means neg for me
    $1.41 http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10000350/1039000-micro-us…

    • i made that mistake as well, this one doesn't "act as a hoodie for the USB" by the way i'm being sarcastic so don't take this seriously (not aimed at you)

      • maybe the "hoodie" magically expands to protect the phone/tablet its plugged into from rain?

    • +3

The difference being that is not Australian stock, whereas this deal is. I'd rather not wait 20+ days for my goods from some random HK site when I can pay a little extra, support a local seller and have my item in <5 days.

      • +1

You'd be pretty delusional thinking that you're getting true blue Aussie stock. I'm sure this USB thingy, along with the other million in the wild, originated from some Chinese factory pumping them out for a dime a dozen.

    • Well find us the same item located in Australia for a price less than $2.44 delivered.

From Hong Kong it's only $1 - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-USB-female-Port-Cable-OTG-Con… , otherwise 98 US cents from the same seller from their website, http://www.buyincoins.com/new_en/details/new-usb-female-port… as jackofspade mentioned.

smelly socks, why do you get so many negs? just because u told the truth? truth is out there.

many of us all know the truth.

  • +1

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive from the last time :(

    • -1

send me an e-mail: [email protected] with your e-mail address. I'll chase that up.

      • +4

Did I perhaps caught a slight whiff of overseas dropshipping?

        That might explain the delay

        • -3

I'm confident he may be referring to our last deal which was clearly stated as a pre-order.

  • Ty, I made a purchase, I have been chasing some OTG cables for some time now.

    • AUD$0.87 with 7% discount coupon 7ALLSITE

      • Damn I just paid 11c too much!!

  • +5

OP is just advertising his store. Can find cheaper elsewhere as shown by all the links.

These are just adapters right … on the go what this mean really - I guess is so you can use a thumb drive with an Android phone/tablet as storage or something ?

    • Yes a sin the description. allows you to plug 'n' play with your flash drives, hard drives, keyboard and mouse, PS3 & XBOX 360 controllers! Huge list of features!

Might have to format USB to FAT.

Thanks I just ordered one as the last one I ordered didn't work on my S2.

    • Yes, you can use a variety of things as storage or in other applications (to supply them usb power, etc) as long as your android device is version 3.0 or higher, it will work :)

  • ordered one of these from usbonthego around christmas time for my android tablet, works great and was happy with the service. Ordered another for backup for this price ;) cheers

    • Same here. Ordered one a few weeks back. very happy with product and service. Thanks Moots:)

      • Thanks guys! glad we left a great impression :)

        • I got mine the other day (using a xoom) works well with my 500gb hdd but had to purchase an app to get it to work. Still haven't tested mouse etc.

  • Thanks just made a purchase. Always happy to support Australian retailers.

  • I already received mine yesterday which was surprisingly fast. My order was also promptly followed up by emails to let me know what was going on, so overall an impressive experience. Those crying over one dollar or so need to put things into perspective and also consider that there's a potential cost to cover for carrying local stock.

  • Bought a Micro USB OTG Jig for Custom Rom / Booting doesn't appear to do anything… tried it on a gs2…
Reboot with it plugged in nothing…. plug it in when on… nothing…

    • Also does USB otg work for the s2 if so what's the mount point?
