IKEA Restaurant, 3 Meals at $3 each, Tuesdays 3pm-8: 30pm (Not in SA and WA)

410

Checked the IKEA site to find:

'Tasty Tuesdays at your local IKEA store
Every Tuesday from 3pm to 8.30pm you can enjoy a selection of main meals available for only $3 each in the IKEA Restaurant. So let us do the cooking, sit down and enjoy your meal and we will even do the washing up!'

You can choose from either the Regular Breakfast (usually $2.95), Soup of the day & Bread roll ($1.95) or the Chicken Parmigiana ($6.95).
If you're an IKEA family member, you also score free drinks as well.

I've checked it's available at all the Australian stores EXCEPT for Homebush, NSW, where there seems to be no mention of the deal. Homebush Not sure when it ends, so try eat as many chicken parma's as you can. :)

IKEA Springvale: Meatballs, fish and chips, and schnitzel. They only have ONE (random choice by the cook) out of the 3 selections.

EDIT: Hey guys, apologies, my bad. Maybe I go too excited to post my first post.. Will that all the advice for next time though! :)

  • I am quite certain it is not WA.

Sometimes I wonder if WA is not part of Australia.

      • +1

        Yeah, SA isn't much better.

        In the news:

        Temp in SA: 44
        Temp in Melbourne: 36

Newscaster: "Spare a thought for the Melbournians, today, their temperature is going to be a whopping 36 degrees(!!)"

SA and WA are usually separate from the eastern state IKEAs, eg we don't have IKEA Family.

      • +2

on facebook ikeaaustralia did say they are seperate entities. poor wa/sa.

That is what I used to wonder as well. I had a fight with a HNorman Manager when some one in Brisbane bought a N8 for 100 dollars less than what he was willing to do released brand new. Not willing to price match and I said those same words "is HNorman WA not part of Harvey Norman Australia"
I sent feedback to HN on their website and got a call 3 days later asking me to come in and purchase the Nokia N8. I said No thank you.

Now I live in Brisbane. Muuahahhhhahahha!!!!!

Heck the theory WA is closer to china does not work.

This is not enough to bring me back into an Ikea store after they cancelled free coffee on weekends for Ikea Family members!

    • they've been steadily increasing the price and reducing the quantity of the breakfast .. removing the free drinks was the last straw .. it's not longer cheap .. used to go there for breakfast and end up looking around and buying some other stuff, but haven't been back since

maccas, hungry jacks, etc is better value now.

      • Have they got those crappy Sweedish drinks at the Ikea in your state instead of Coke, Sprite etc?

        I'm from SA btw.

  • why would you choose the regular Breakfast (usually $2.95), Soup of the day & Bread roll ($1.95) when they cost less than $3 anyway?

wouldn't everyone choose chicken parmas since they cost $6.95?

    doh

I have my doubts about the OP's interpretation. I think the breakfast and soup are not related, they just happen to be on the same page, and actually you will get 3 mains on offer but who knows what.

  • +3

From the following link it shows which three dishes on offer.

  • i have been looking for awhile and they always seem to have specials on all the time, this has actually been on for a while. they did have the breakfast for $1.95 on wednesdays (save $1)and a tuesday meal deal, and different meals on specials at different times. plus the bistro has cheap meal deals, hot dog and coke $2 etc. i haven't been yet but I will go. I would like to know how to crayfish party went, if anyone here went please? i know tickets sold quick once ozbargained so someone must know.

I have used this deal before I think it was there in Nov in Brisbane. It is three dishes that are available and I think it is called 3 for $3

IKEA Restaurant, Meal for $3, Tuesdays 3pm-8:30pm

      • Choose From: "either" A; B; OR C. $3-per 1-only.

There you go corrected for accuracy.

  • The portion served is enoughy only for a child. I need at least 3 servings.

    • -2

Well that will cost you $3 then. Still cheap.

      • +2

No it won't, if you read their tricky wording it is $3 per meal and each store will have a range of 3 main meals to pick from..

Thus it is one main per $3

        Still a good deal though

Edit: A mod or op really needs to modify the post to clarify this.. Just because ikea is misleading doesn't mean ozbargain should be!

        • +1

Doh! I read it as 3 meals for $3, whereas its actually 3 meals for $9

    • We get three fish and chips for the wife, our 1 yr old and me.

  • Logan times appear to be from 3pm-6:30pm, rather than 8:30pm. Description is also pretty clear.

"Choose from a selection of three hot dishes available for $3.
    Tuesdays 3pm-6.30pm."

at Springvale Ikea, they only have ONE (random choice by the cook) out of the 3 selections on Tuesday. You won't get any selections.

Looks like I'll see some of you Ozbs at Homebush tomorrow.

  • I got the fish and chips from Tempe the other day. Not bad for the price! And free hot chocolate if you have an IKEA Family card too.

  • Reporting live from ikea logan deal is on. Actually have cheese baked saith and coffee mug for 3.95 with ikea family card though

  • Just finished my $3 meatballs dinner at Homebush. No signs or anything, but if you mention special the server will dish the only choice of the day to you.

I bet the couple ahead of me were OzBers; he had his smartphone displaying the Ikea website and they paid with Paywave. :-)

  • Was just at Tempe - nope, no deal there. Whilst Homebush has the special on it's food link, Tempe does not (granted I didn't go there for the food - just that there specials are finishing tomorrow
