Been looking at getting an end grain cutting board, reviews seem to be alright and looks to be a good price. Seems to go on sale fairly often as well. Can see it was this price a year ago from here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/854325

Yeah I would prefer to deal with Amazon returns than Myer if the board splits.
Bought during this deal last year, awesome chopping board! Huge upgrade from the shitty plastic ones
Acacia boards are good value, but the timber does have a relatively high silica content which means it's not as friendly on knife edges as walnut, maple or camphor laurel.
Any resonably priced suggestions for something more edge-friendly?
So much of the content online is written with a USA focus, so it's all walnut and maple, but this provides a good rundown of local timber.
Acacia is still ok and better than some other options, but if you're invested in quality knives with a fine edge (e.g. Japanese) it will be problematic.
OOS
not really, still got some stock it seems, just can't pick up nearby
Amazon have the Davis & Waddell version of this for the same price (but 1cm thicker) if you prefer to purchase from Amazon / stack with codes $59.97
