that's a great price for a 15" M3 Air… definitely not trying to justify getting an 'extra' laptop for work now…

  • Going from a 2020 M1 Air to this or pony up extra $ for M4?
I just want Chrome to stop lagging.

    • +3

Ram is more important for you

    • +22

The way you stop Chrome from lagging is:

      Use another web browser

      • +1

        Exactly.

      • +3

Wouldn't using two web browsers use even more RAM?!

      • Which one?

        • +1

On PC Edge but on Mac I guess Safari or Firefox

        • Try Zen. It's incredible but you just need to spend a little bit of time customizing it.

M4 13" is better. Particularly if you can wait for the $300 sale to bring it down to about ~$1200

    • I asked Chatgpt this exact thing im in the same boat, decided paying extra for M4 is better, especially as I can buy from apple edu store so only about a 450$ difference, reckon its worth the future proofing cuz apparently can only get future apple AI stuff on M4 only? like its made on a different thing compared to M3

        M1 supports Apple Intelligence.

  • How much is it on AOC?

new M3 MBA's are not available on apple's website anymore

15" M4 MBA with 10core cpu and gpu is $1871.1

      • Buy a certified refurbished model direct from Apple.

        • -1

          Not a good advice…

          Refurbished 15" M3 MacBook Air 16/256 is $1609

          Only ~$250 saving.

    Delivery kills the deal

    • $5.99 for me for some reason

  • for extra $75 I bought the 512gb SSD version a few months ago

  • Where can I get MBA 13 m3 or m4 16Gb ram and 512gb ssd under $1300? Or lower any future sales i should await?

    • I'm waiting for this too but $1100 mark and 256gb should suffice

      • +1

Keep an eye on the certified refurbished store (Apple’s official one).

        • thanks for the suggestion

  • Anyone here do any music production on the MBAs? I have a really old Pro that works great, just wondering if I should which to the Air when I do eventually upgrade.

If it helps at all, Apple (direct) have a very lenient return policy and staff had no issues with me buying both a Macbook Pro and Air to test which one I liked more for photo editing and return the one I didn't want (or both).

      • Ooo, that actually sounds great, thanks!

  • Anything in 14"?

      Not since 2020 bro

    • It’s a nice size. (That’s what she said)

MacBook Air 15-inch with M3 Chip, 512GB/24GB … Price beat with Officeworks for $1614

I think it’s a better value considering additional storage & RAM for $284 extra for future proofing.

    • which one is this?

        • Nice on thanks, i must be blind, looks like a good option

        • +2

OW just told me they won't price match anything on clearance! Bummer

          • @gilbert151: Depends on sales rep … try another store

          • +1

@gilbert151: Try another store or try the head office number.
I was just successful price beating a M3 15.3 24/512GB model down to $1614 by asking some young high school dude lol.

Definitely worth the extra $205 compared to the JB deal for the extra RAM and storage considering apple's usual upgrade prices if you can successfully price beat JB at OW.

              • @Nexo: Mine is shipped out of warehouse and ready to be collected tomorrow.

              • +1

@Nexo: Thank god I price beat at OW instead of buying from JB

    • +1

Honestly would buy this at JB’s price if it wasn’t starlight.

  • How is this for adode creative cloud apps?

    • -1

      Yes.

  • +1

Good deal and the M3 Chip 512GB/24GB for ~$1600 was even better
Unfortunately looks like it's sold out
