Hello. I couldn't find a poll like this on here, sorry if it's been done before.
What's OzBargains favourite chip brand, and why is it Red Rock Deli? 😅

Because all the others also dropped in quality therefore red rock is still the best, but only when on 50% off sale?
just judging by your question mark , like me you aren't a chip connoisseur either. 😂
didn't realise so many people have tried every single chip out there and rank them.
chips are pretty expensive per 100 gram.
They got the most votes because they add the most sugar to their chips. Check the ingredients.
just realising now they are top ranked. I commented when everything else was 0 and Red rock had 1 poll vote.
Red Rock and Blackstone are the same, I'd say yes the quality dropped maybe a year ago already. Probably using the oil for longer than they used to.
agree, the chip seems harder … hard to describe, reminds me of the Kettle chip more. But no longer the auto chip selection
If ur gonna eat junk, just eat the best tasting one! I don't get people who buy low fat/No sugar/diet products. Such a cope.

Aha, classic Trump moment
Splash of lime Tostitos Cantina
This is the way.
The best are Tayto's. Unfortunately, they only ever get stocked locally in stupid cheese and onion flavour 😕
The stupidest of all flavours
Smoky bacon FTW !!!
Apple
Y u doing chicken/cheese twisties dirty like this op
Those would probably come under “Best Rice/Corn Extrusion Brand” rather than chips?
I guess you have me there on a technicality haha
In that case I vote kettle, particularly the smoked butter and sea salt flavour. Good lord they are delicious. Smashed 9 bags worth last week 😭
Smashed 9 bags worth last week
Bloody hell mate. I ate half a bag of red rock deli balsamic vinegar over a few days and thought that was bad. I’m gonna have to try that flavour.
@Jimothy Wongingtons: Haha, as a man I would rather eat salt and vinegar chips than look exactly like that.
Tyrell's - their mature cheddar and chives chips are the best. This is the hill I will die on.
I agree, that flavour slaps bloody hard
Amazing flavour, amazing chip!
Added Tyrrell's
I want to change my vote to Tyrells. Can the poll be edited to allow vote changes?
I used to love Tyrrell’s Salt and Vinegar crinkle cut, but no one seems to stock them anymore.
Tyrrell's Sweet Chilli & Red Pepper were my favourite but have not seen it in stores for years, so now I just get Red Rock Deli.
Oh wow I finally found someone who loves this flavour! I missed it :(
Depends. Are you asking which brand has the most good flavours, or which brand just has the one perfect chip flavour thats better than all the others?
When on special = Tyrrell's
Standard price = Aldi's Blackstone chips
The sweet chilli one at Aldi was a bit of a let down..the rest are ace.
Yeah, but their lime and cracked pepper is the business when you can find it.
This is my go to as well at Aldi.
Surprisingly I also like their Sprinters crinkle cut Cheese and Onion ones. Not quite Tyrell’s tier quality but I don’t mind it.
You are on Reddit? No wonder you knew about Albos little 'surprise'.
Everyone here has deepfake accounts on Reddit
@serpserpserp: Looking at the constant attention seeking, hand holding, shit-posting, and multiple user identities per RWNJ here, it's not that deep.Quite the opposite in fact.
Aldi's is good and different!
I came here to debate Qualcomm over Broadcom.
I'm a linux geek so I always go Intel over those for guaranteed compatibility.
Intel
TSMC, best chip manufacturer you will ever find :P
It's just the factory for many different highend brands, which is what this poll was about.
The Best Chip Brand
Zorin industries
Black Stone from Aldi.
Added Blackstone
That NZ brand with the bird logo has really good chips (not the lamb flavoured ones)
Bluebird
If we're talking NZ, it's gotta be snacka changi chips
Natural Chip Co. Surprisingly good. Thick and crunchy.
cracked pepper one is the best
Natural Chip Co.
as someone who has no idea what to get in the chip aisle. this is probably what I would go for.
The American Kettle chips that you get on iherb. They use to be really cheap years ago and around $3- $4 a bag. They have the most crunch and some awesome flavours- new your cheese. dill pickle, sea salt & vinegar, parmesan garlic, jalapeno
My preferred chip brand is Intel.
hot chips
Sprinters from Aldi
McCain
I find Red Rock and Kettle are overcooked and over priced.
I won't pay the price for Pringles either.
I usually get Thins or whatever is cheapest. But they'll soon be off my shopping list because they just aren't value for money.
I eat peanuts or BBQ Shapes more often than chips now.
Not that I have had these in a while, how about Grainwaves? Golden Duck? Irvins?
I have to agree with this.
"I Asked 5 Chefs To Name the Best Potato Chips, And They All Said the Same Brand [Kettel] "

I wish the Red Seal brand was still around. Remember going on a tour of the factory at the foothills of Mt Coot-tha.
Natural chip co. my fav by far.
I find AMD to be pretty good.
I think they are banned in some countries
depends on the flavour
All these appear to be crisps, not chips.
OK, walk into a fish and chip shop and ask for a packet of chips and see what you get.
What a terrible example lol, fish and chip shops don't even sell 'crisps' so what's your point?
Go to a supermarket and ask where the chips are and it's a good chance they'll guide you to the 'crisps' aisle.
Today on the 'pom or seppo' guessing game
They'll probably tell me to pick the packet of chips myself off the shelf.
Fish and chip shops don't sell hot chips in packets, generally.
Calbee
nah had them before overrated. wouldn't buy again.
for some reason they were light on flavour and in texture which I remember as disappointing.
unique to Asian taste buds
I'm not Asian and think Calbee is really good. Unfortunately I only ever see the pizza one here.
I really like Burts Spicy BBQ from Harris Farm.
add "whichever one is on sale" to the poll
My favourite is TSMC 😎
People say Aldi is as good as Red Rock, and Aldi isn't bad, but it's not quite the same. If you can get Red Rock for $2.70 an Amazon then you should get that. If Red Rock is $10 though, then Aldi is fine.
For regular crinkle cut it's hands down Sprinters from Aldi imo.
Burts Ridges Reaper Chilli and Lime. Get them from Harris Farm
Thank me later
Nice, I'll try these. The Kiwi-made Proper Crisps they sell at the local shops are my current go-to (I appreciate good snacks, but this is not the face that lunched a thousand chips)!
aldi's blackstone thai chilli lime (crinkle cut)
Brets
Yes! Gotta remortgage the house for a bag, but since they're hard to source it's not so bad. Jura cheese, even over camembert.
They have a good range at 3 blind mice in Mascot. Also at https://frenchdeli.com.au/product-category/pantry/snacks/
Expensive, but good stuff normally is.
Wood chips
The problem with the Australian chip market is at its core it’s pretty boring, which says a lot about the taste of average everyday Australians. There has been some really nice limited edition flavours over the last 15-20 years that I remember vividly, but they are short lived, and the plain old flavours remain standing the test of time, such as honey soy chicken, chilli, lime, salt and vinegar, sweet chilli and sour cream.
Tried to vote for Nvidia
but the M series rocks too
Burts Salt & Pepper, but any of their chips are elite.
The Kirkland brand.
Aussie - Red rock sweet chilli
Smiths cheese and onion
CCs the dark orange one (I think extreme cheese, better than Doritos)
Import:
Keoghs Truffle butter or Guinness
Ruffles - cheddar and sour cream
Tyrell’s mature cheese
redrock (coleworths) - ONLY if on sale.
blackstone (aldi) - every other day
housebrands - TRASH
Isn’t blackstone an Aldi house brand?
why Red rock got a vote? I thought I read a lot of comments on recent deals saying they had big drop in quality and aren't the same anymore.
