anyone know if these r any good? not much in the way of reviews online, potentially looking to upgrade from an ASUS VG258Q

    • No reviews. I'll wait.

Is this a brand new monitor on the market? Like others have said - specs look great on paper but there really are no verified reviews. I'm wary of this one but I might just bite the bullet since it's so cheap. Wanting to replace my 4-year old ViewSonic that's had a dead pixel line going vertically down it for the last 2 years.

I did bite tbh. I saw the extra $10 credit in the checkout page and it made me impulse buy… lets see

Something that definitely helps is the Dell brand. You've probably made a good choice mate. It's not like it's some unknown off-brand.

        • Yeah worst case I think i can return

    People still buy 1080p monitors?

    • +16

People still care about other peoples' preference?

Sarcasm aside, I prefer 24inch 1080P monitors for competitive FPS and always have. Tried larger resolutions and screen sizes but my eyes had to work more to view the whole monitor.

It was never about bigger is better. Just what fits for your needs.

Yes, in fact over half of all current steam users still use 1080p: https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey

  • Serious question - given the high 200Hz, would this be suited for gaming? or is this supposed to be an "office" monitor?

  • any deals for 27inch?

    • There is a 27" version of the same model for $199 which makes it $168 after the education discount. You can add the $10 credit to make it $158

      • Worked. Had to sign up for student discount

      • that's real tempting actually.

        200hz 1440p will be a upgrade over my Dell S2721DGF/ hp27q

      • On special in good guys for $167 and the price beat page popped up $162 if you want it today. JBHIFI should price match

        • be careful, that's the 100Hz version though

  • god i have enough monitors… ..
why do i want two more of these

    • Because you need more

  • I'll be interested when monitors include Type-C USB-PD edit as a near standard feature

  • Could be nice for a vertical set up either side of an LG C* Evo 42.
