Get the TCN TEEN giftcard from Coles this week for extra 10% off (via Flybuy dollars). https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/915828

    • Thanks! I got the $50 giftcard, if I use this will I get $100 credit? Or does it have to be in the specified $60, 100, 160 etc denominations?

      • +3

Has to be specific denominations. You can do partial GC and pay the balance in cash or EFT.

        • Thanks so $50 and then $10

        • thanks!

  • +7

From what I've seen, you have to go in store if you want to load using gift cards, only credit card in the app.

    • +1

      Yes, that is correct

    • +3

In store load is necessary anyway, if you want to make use of the free game from the higher card tiers.

$1 per 92 days must be loaded in a Timezone venue for the daily free Yellow card reader game to be credited to your Powercard the following day.

      • Gees I had no idea. That's rubbish

  • +1

I had no idea these credits expire after a year 😭

    • +8

If you reload or use any amount of credits, it resets the timer.

    • As long as you top up, it extends all the credits?

    • +2

      That can't be legal

      • +3

        3-year is a fairer period.

    • +1

Yep, using credits or adding credits will reset the one year expiry.

  • Just in time for a reload

  • Good timing, bought 10% off gift card last night.

  • +5

Dam no stackable bonus again. Have been patiently waiting for the $20 voucher to get $80 for $200 credit.

    • Hasn't been one in a while!

  • Finally!

  • +6

They put up the game price so much and so often these become less and less of a deal.

    • +1

Yeah, such an easy scam for them, ppl lap up their marketing spin

    • +7

This comment comes up every time this deal is posted. The reality is, with or without double dollars families are still going there, enough that they are opening more centres. The smarter ones will load up during double dollars but many more will not, being infrequent and adhoc visits. This is and always will be a deal every time.

  • Anyone know if each timezone has a different set of prizes to spend points on?

Have around 40k points but my local timezone only has basic toys and candy

Hoping somewhere in NSW has something more significant like gift cards or something else of value

    • +1

I've been to a few different ones in Vic and NSW, all similar stock. The stores do appear to rotate stock periodically to make it appear fresh.

    • +2

Yes it does vary from location to location and rotates out as well. Some of the larger locations tend to have the better assortment of prizes to redeem on and not just the cheap junk stuff.

    • +4

Don't forget they also have online prizes as well.

      https://www.timezonegames.com/en-au/prizes/

Aiming for that Iphone 15 atm.

      • Didn't know about the online prizes, exactly what I was interested in, cheers

    • +1

You can try looking at kingpin locations as the cards work there also, and kingpin often has the more high end redemption prizes compared to really cheap items that are usually found in timezone locations

    • How long did it take to get 40k points? I have 7k and that has taken a while

      • Could recommend a few ticket machines that gives jackpots but I am sure others can recommend even better. I got most of my tickets from only 2 machines. Can't say in here in case there is a TZ employee and the machines then get "adjusted".

I know someone got loads of jackpots by playing basketball with 2 hands (left/right).

        • I've never touched any jackpot machines. Must be why

      • My points were gathered over the last year or so playing an assortment of games, only really play for fun not the credits. Would have spent about $600 of double dollars I think

  • +2

Timezone also offering $10 bonus credit if you download the app and link a phone number and email. It takes a couple of days to appear on account.

  • No sure how this is a bargain.. TZ just jack up their prices.. $3+ a game now used to be $2

    • I went to one in Fremantle, WA last week and games were $2.40 each.

    • I went to one in Vic last week also, $2.40 per game.

  • What if I don't have a card?

  • +1

Waiting for NS2 to rock up as a prize at either Timezone or Kingpin πŸ€‘

    • +1

I picked up a Switch 2 as a game prize recently. Haven't seen it in the winner's vault yet though!

      • +1

        Nice!

I’m assuming it will be around 175,000 tickets given the PS5 Slim pricing.

  • -1

I don’t have power card. Never used Timezone before. Do I need to visit their store to get the card or can I get the powercard online or app?

    • As far as I know, you need to visit a venue first to get a card, which you can then bind to an account on the app.

As your card membership tier goes up, you need to go to a venue to exchange the cards to reflect this.

      • Aah okay so the colour reflects the tier system?

  • I just got upgraded to Gold. When I tried to use the free game, it ended up charging me

    Am I doing something wrong?

    • $1 per 92 days must be loaded in a Timezone venue for the daily free Yellow card reader game to be credited to your Powercard the following day.

Although if you speak with the staff, they're usually pretty accommodating and will probably credit you a game to make up for it.
