Yeah unfortunately this is fraud detection being triggered and this applies across all Qantas website incl hotels wines etc. you gotta ring them up if you get this.

1) I cant register to TCN app - im guessing because out of country. The code comes to my mobile but the app freezes
2) The email link to activate card (cardactivate.com.au…) hangs.. im guessing because im out of the country?

I believe its fraud if you use the unpaid cards and they can chase you for it.
Its like if someone accidently sent you $2000 to bank account by mistake, you MUST return it back. You cant just go on a shopping spree

Yes, it is high likely you MUST return it in the highly unlikely event that they WOULD ask you to return it. You gotta be in the game first.
I was able to add the extra cards to my app but they’re getting declined by ATO. I wouldn’t mind the extra ones, for sure they would chase me for the money but I want to order more, it was out of stock lol. Anyway, no free money except some points. The activation portal is probably taken down on purpose to revoke the extra cards. Just give them some time.
Hey, you might be getting declined because ATO caps number of card transactions? Ran into same issue but swapped to another family member's account and extra cards worked.

Is anyone else still getting errors trying to activate?
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.. I'm on iOS - I click on the 'View Gift Card' link on the email. Which then asks me to confirm my mobile number.
I do this, it then sends me a text with a link to add the gift card to my TCN app wallet. I click on the link, it then prefills out the mobile number / customer service reference fields and then spits out an error - 'Oops! This operation couldn't be completed. (EMLWL.HTTPErrorCODE error 2.)
I've tried this on several of the emailed gift cards I've received, I know it was spitting out 3x emails, I assume 2 of every 3 won't work.
Figured out my own issue here… I'm in Europe right now. Logged via VPN back to Aus, everything seems to work in the TCN app.
Any issues with paying? I keep getting invalid card number error when trying to pay bills. Have tried on multiple cards purchased and the same error

Is this the error you get from ATO when using too many cards in one day?
There was an unexpected processing error. Check your account statement to confirm whether the payment was successful before you try to make your payment again.
Same, used 8 last night and 2 this morning.
I purchased 2 x $500 cards and received 8 emails. I tried adding the first two to the app. They could be added, but trying to view the details results in an internal server error. I then tried the remaining ones and none of them work either.
Same here. Added mine to the app, but can’t add to apple wallet or view card details.
