      are the reviews true about this though? some are saying it fails and they have had to get many of these replaced. Some say it doesn't charge or fails to charge. some say the it doesnt' have the right battery capacity

      It's only a concern if you are flying domestic in China. Also, you might be able to print the 3C logo onto your battery.

      China is very restrictive now - as per the post above, only powerbanks with the "CCC" logo is allowed to be taken onboard.
      In case this trend spreads, it's advisable to only buy powerbanks with the logo going forward if you intend to fly with it.

        Yes. In the Chinese airport, 3 weeks ago, they confiscated my non-CCC powerbank, even though I was inside China, 1.5 months before then.

        I argued with them as well, saying these were Chinese-made powerbanks (ie. ZMI),
        but they said it was a new rule from 28 June 2025, that all powerbanks need to be "CCC" certified.

        There was a tray of about 80 - 100 powerbanks that were already confiscated.

        So, @TheZohan , look for a "CCC" certified powerbank, because chances are, the other airports will most likely follow China's lead
        and implement this policy of "CCC" only, because any flight that transits through a Chinese airport, will have this policy.

      Yeah it's only 72Wh. I believe up to 100Wh is generally fine. Only domestic flights in China need some specific certification it seems. So besides that, all should be good!

      Otherwise, just get a powerbank with "CCC" certification.

      I was in China, twice, in the last couple of months, and the first time, my powerbank got through,
      but just a few weeks ago, they confiscated my powerbank inside China,
      because the new rule came into effect on 28 June 2025.

      So, even if you are transiting through China and flying somewhere else, a Chinese airport won't let through a non-CCC powerbank.

    Bought this when it was on sale previously. Solid device. Probably the best Power Bank I've bought. The display is very helpful and feels futuristic. It fast charges everything that I've thrown at it. I highly recommend. It is a little heavy as all 20000mAh power banks are but still lighter than others.
