MG ZST Vibe MY25 from $23,990 Driveaway + $2,000 Point-of-Sale Cashback @ Participating MG Dealers

1220

This is THE CHEAPEST brand new SUV available in Australia. MG has reduced the price of this even further, making it a much better value option than the new generation ZS which has increased prices with the base model Excite now from $25990 driveaway.

The Vibe is the second model above the base model (Core) with extra features which are 17” Two-tone machined alloy wheels, 6 speaker sound system, Rain sensing wipers, Front Fog lights and In built satellite navigation.

Standard ZST features:

  • 10.1" touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • 360 degree camera
  • Keyless entry and push button start
  • LED headlights and taillights

The ZST is compatible with 91 unleaded. 95 is NOT needed.

Please follow title guidelines and do not incorporate cashback amount into the title price. — Mod

Offer is available on many MG dealer websites. $2000 cashback is redeemed at point of purchase as a deduction from the original $23,990 price. Dealer locator.

Note: Incorrect edits have been made to the post by moderator alvian. $21990 is an offer available on all MG dealer websites ($23990 driveaway + $2000 cashback offer). It is not a carsales deal and it is not + on road costs. Link to main MG website was provided as links to 90+ dealer websites can't be put in the URL box.

    • Absolutely not. Completely different vehicles

      • Is better?

        • 100%
We test drove both. My partner hated the mg3, felt cheap. ZST much nicer.

But chassis-wise it's not like a Mazda cx30 which is just a Mazda 3 on stilts. The ZST is significantly larger than those vehicles and the mg3 is much smaller

  • Maximum occupancy: 1 person.

How is this NA? For a 1.5 L engine, it would absolutely have to be turbocharged.

    Good luck going uphill.

Would be easy to take for test drive. Surely people will do that…

The ZST is compatible with 91 unleaded. 95 is NOT needed.

Incorrect. 95 will add some power. 98 will add more.

  • Yes! The new Hyundai xCel is back in town! Now all we need is for the $9999 pricepoint.

    • I remember those days…. Excel was so so bad. How far Hyundai has come…. They now have the Ioniq 5N. Damn.

      • They cracked open their piggy banks and hired Albert bierman and some Peter schryer dude… They seem to be some sort of professionals.

  • I'm trading my MG for a white… Chrysler Le Baron.

I'm just here for the OP vs moderator battle.

  • I'm wouldn't choose keyless entry. Too insecure.

I like the convenience. If they steal it, I get new one from insurance. Doesn't apply to this car though. Why would any steal this slow, 22k car?

My mechanic whom I go since 1996, says better to buy a five-year-old Mazda CX-5 Sport Maxx FWD with 60000+ km on it for 25K.

    • +1

This is true, but only if you have general knowledge when inspecting a car. I only knew that people were recommending the Toyota RAV4 as an SUV because it's reliable. However, a used RAV4 is very expensive — within the $20K–$25K price range, you're typically looking at a ~10-year-old vehicle with over 100,000 km. I ended up having to pay for three pre-purchase inspections, which cost me $250 each. Then, the car I finally bought needed new tires, and the timing belt is due for replacement after a year of use. Those are a couple more grand in expenses. In comparison, with this option, you get a brand-new car with a warranty.

Ofc for a mechanic or car enthusiast who knows about car, they'd rather go with used car for better value

    Two tone machined alloy wheels

What about the other two? 😁

  • What is $2k point of sale cashback mean?

    • Confusing title made by the moderator. It means $2000 off the purchase price. $21990

      • That’s damn cheap for a brand new SUV with 10 years warranty. This is going to destroy a significant chunk of the used car market

  • "The ZST is compatible with 91 unleaded. 95 is NOT needed."

    Not 100% correct.

ZST 1.5L engine - 91 octane is fine
ZST 1.3L turbocharged engine - minimum 95 octane.

Source: MG service bulletin and I own a 1.3LT

    • This deal is for the ZST Vibe 1.5L. The turbocharged 1.3L is already discontinued and is irrelevant.

      • Agreed this deal is for the 1.5. But there are still some new 1.3 turbos in stock around the country. So thought it was prudent to mention.

I know we initially went in to the dealer with the intent to buy a 1.5L but after driving it we were completely put off it. The turbocharged engine is much better, but does come with the different fuel requirement.
