2. You get 5 Free 24-Hour Speed Boosts a Month for Eligible nbn Services @ Superloop.

Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (CG-NAT) and Static IP address.

Superloop use CG-NAT which works fine for most users. CG-NAT can break remote access to some home security cameras, some home automation products, Plex server, NAS, servers or if you want to host online P2P games. When you turn off CG-NAT you will be able to use remote access and host online P2P games again. Leave CG-NAT turned on if you don't do any of this.

If your home security cameras and automation products use a cloud server you will not be affected by CG-NAT.

You can get Carrier Grade NAT turned off for free if needed. Call up Superloop support or use the Superloop online chat on the Superloop website (red and black icon, bottom right).

$5/month is for a static IP address (this also turns off CG-NAT).

Credit Card Surcharge
A 1% surcharge applies to all payments by card. You can pay by Direct Debit from your bank to avoid this charge.

    $105 Cashback from Topcashback

    • oh thats much better

    • Gonna make the switch from ABB to Superloop I guess.

Do I have to cancel my plan with ABB or no need? Also I shouldn't have any downtime right? The switch should be seamless?

      • I just switched from ABB to Superloop today, Signed up 3:46PM Was connected at 4:25PM.
        ABB was disconnected as well.

        • Okay, signing up now. Hope it is as quick

When are these guys at Topcashback going to start paying people from the June Superloop deals? I'm sick of these cashback sites dragging it out for months after you've already completed their requirements.

    • I dont see any cashback from top cashback

  • +1

they really dont want to offer this to new customers.
they just redone $99 for 12 months.

    • +2

This is for new customers. Do you mean existing customers?

      • yeah soz, existing customers, they dont even want to entertain offering it even after speaking with cancelations

        • +3

Just churn out and come back later.

Only issue with Superloop is that you will need to give a months notice, which is annoying.

        • +1

It's worth calling and just asking if they can do anything for you. I've gotten 5-10 bucks off for 6 months each time I've called. Though I was waiting for the speed bump to arrive before calling again (been about 7 months odd)

        • yeah same, told the retention team I'm leaving for leaptel, and they simply can't get close to matching the price even though they're offering better prices to new customers.

guy i spoke to knew he was wasting his time. guess you just have to keep moving for good deals on nbn.

  • +2

i just called as an existing customer to upgrade and they said no, and there's nothing they can do. The retention team gave me $10 off a month to stay on my current plan! big win

    • How long is the $10 off per month?

      • +1

        12 months

    • +2

I'm on 100/40 and they wouldn't budge with the nbn upgrade.
I'll churn out, but will wait until another sale comes up with another ISP. I won't be returning to Superloop. Such a pain in the ass. This 1-month notice to cancel is rubbish

      • I’m on the same 100/40, signed up last Black Friday for 12 month discount.
What do you mean about the upgrade - aren’t we moving to 500down tomorrow for free?

        • +2

Nope. Only the 100/20 gets upgraded.

Some on 100/40 are moving to 250/xx.

As for me - they're not budging, I get nothing.
Can I downgrade to 100/20, to then upgrade to 500/50? Nope.
I was told to suck it up.
I was even told by Superloop to just cancel my plan and move to a different ISP. Awesome.

          • @dangerdanger: What!?!? I’ve been looking forward to this for months. Why on earth isn’t it upgraded!?

            • @ZJack: Yah, tell me about it… gives me the shits. It's not like they can't do it - my address shows they can offer up to 1000/100. It's that they won't.

              • +1

@dangerdanger: Just churn to Neptune. 500/50 $85 month ongoing.

              • @dangerdanger: I just set up a churn to Southern Phone for $59 pm for 12 months once you factor in the cashback, $65pm without cashback. Probably will be worse service but it’s a big saving

          • @dangerdanger: I was keen to try a speed boost from 500 to 1000 to see how my router handled it.

I’m interested in Arctel then, I think their deal looked best.

          • @dangerdanger: Logged in to superloop to cancel and its showing my $80 100/20 is being upgraded to 750/50

            That actually seems pretty good.

      • You can always find some excuses about their service to get them waive the notice period/cancellation fee. For example, your NBN might keep dropping off which never happened before with other providers, so it must be their fault :) Usually 5 times a day is enough for you to get out of it but feel free to have more if desired.

  • +1

Just gave notice last week to these guys, why cant they offer the same price as a new sub for existing??
Also the 30 day churn, who took the jam out of the donut here… so annoying!!!

    • Who did you churn to? I'll be doing the same

      • I reckon Arctel might be the go, best price going around at the mo, reckon i'll scout around for feedback on the other thread and pull the pin in a weeks time. Some other deals might come through in the next few days..

        • That's my plan, but willing to wait until Black Friday if needed. Thanks

  • So FTTC customers are just STFU or is something coming for us also?

    • +1

      FTTC speeds don't change.

Check here to see if you are eligible for nbn FTTC to FTTP.

  • No topcashback for 500 plan??

  • If you've been a customer before and have left for 12months then came back, will you be considered a new customer again?

    • +1

I don't know if it's still 12 months or not. There is nothing in the Critical Information Summary about new customers. Try your luck.

      • +1

Ok thank you, I've still got a couple of months with leaptel I'll give this a go soon

  • Which one better - Leaptel or Superloop?

    • Leaptel.

      • why?

        • +2

Quality and speeds of their network are fairly similar but the support and customer service from leaptel is gold standard, superloops is at the other end of the scale, pretty much at the bottom.

    • +1

Leaptel as well for me, customer service is better in my experience. Had issues with billing with superloop, internet however was good as well given I was in a different suburb at that time.

  • i wonder if there would be a speed boost on 1000/100 plan for those that have the 2GB NTD?

    • The maximum download speed on the 1000Mbps plan is 970Mbps even with the new 2.5GbE nbn NTD.

Superloop's My Speed Boost isn't available for 1000/100.

  • Swoop is also a good choice

  • +1

I just cancelled my sub to Superloop, best they were willing to offer was $10 off a month but were not willing to price match these new offers or other ISPs. Going to Leaptel hearing good things about it.

  • only been with Leaptel for a couple months. Tempting to jump ship for an extra $5.05/month for 1000/100.

    • Login to your Leaptel account and check what the 1000/100 offer is.

      • +1

        $99/month. $85 is better.

  • shit. just signed up with exetel yesterday….

    • Exetel will charge you for 1 month.

Want to cancel your service? There’s no need to give us 30 days’ notice – though you’ll be charged for the rest of the billing cycle. For example, if your cycle starts on the 1st and you cancel on the 14th, you'll be charged for the full month. Alternatively, you can choose to ride out the service until the end of the billing cycle.

  • +1

I ported out from Superloop recently and when they emailed about the cancellation fees I told their billing team they can’t charge me for a service they’re no longer providing.
I actually told them I wanted a pro rata refund instead and they gave it to me haha

    • Who did you churn to?

      • +1

        Leaptel

    • and did they refund you?

    • they can’t charge me for a service they’re no longer providing

      Nice one

    • what cancelation fees?

  • +1

Honestly for the price, you can’t go past Launtel. Their service is elite. I’ve been with them since they started and haven’t looked back.

    • +3

      Launtel is $4.20 a day or ~$125 a month.
      Thats $40 more or nearly 50% extra a month…..
Not saying they are not a great ISP, but we are comparing oranges to apples here.

  • I went through retentions muck around, wanted $85 for 500/50 deal. They finally relented as ive been on the 1000/50 plan for $99 for the last 22 months. Well come billing time and they charged me $99 again so this time im leaving. Ive got the free static ip from years back but every week there is some bs, im sorry there is maintenance on your service.

    • Maintenance will be NBN not Superloop so unlikely to change with another RSP.
In saying that lots of RSP don’t forward the NBN notices so it seems there is less, but in reality they are hoping you don’t notice the outages overnight.

  • Called up as existing. Mentioned the 68.95 deal for 500,couldnt come close. Im currently on 99 a month which is getting 750 speed today. Getting 10 off best they could do.

Also, speed boosts go away on these new plans.

    • +1

Speed Boost for 500/50 and 750/50 is listed here.

  • +1

Had been on 50/20 with SL since we got the NBN. Had enough of their penny pinching cost increases.. SL last increase said it was going from $81 to $89 but were prepared to offer $85 if I committed for two years. Cancelled a few months ago and went More for 100/40 and a little over $60pm

  • If you’re exisiting. Can you cancel and you just sign up under a new name and pretend to be a new Tennent or something?
