  • How to you get the catalogue so quick?

  • interesting… any experience with mitre saw? on par with ozito i guess?

    • Yea I got one in the last sales. Used it to build my 8m x 3m Merbau deck. One of the best saws i've used. Love the laser guide. Highly recommended.

    • I got the bunnings Ozito mitre saw for $59 a few months back. It is going strong with every day usage. It doesn't have laser though, but $11 cheaper!

  • does it do bevels?

i recall them selling a sliding mitre saw for ~$150 a while back

  • The $20 for the cordless screwdriver is worth that for the bits alone …

    • Probably because that is what you are in fact paying for. A 3.6V screwdriver will not have much torque to do anything significant, probably not enough to even tighten a screw in a door hinge. But will be good to tighten a power point etc (I saw that my electrican was using one of these).

      • I just bought the Black and Decker Gyro from Bunnings, and it's LiIon and a nice unit

These things are pretty useless as screwdrivers, but they take away a lot of the RSI of putting in or taking out heaps of screws. So I don't use mine for everything, but it's great for repetitive tasks.

  • +1

Be aware that this compound saw is NOT sliding, so there is a limit to the width of material it can cut. I'd recommend getting a sliding compound saw instead of this one. It'll cost a bit more, but is far more versatile.

  • That screw driver set looks fully sick. Way better than those $2 - $8 mini sets of heads on a manual one. Wow, I wanna go buy it haha. Anyone know the normal price?

  • What does everyone think of the Cordless drill 24v for $59.99 ? worth the effort ?

    • i got a DSE 24v on clearance a few years back. Only just killed it.

Was great till the battery stopped accepting charge. One charge lasted ages and was far better the the 18v bosch i am using at the moment.

just noticed this says nimh battery. I was pretty sure Nimh was no good for power tools due to low current output or similar. Nicd or Li-ion were preferred as far as i know, maybe they have addressed this issue in recent years.

    • The NiMH battery is the deal beaker in my opinion. In this age, it ain't good enough if it ain't Li-Ion :-)
