  • Got Planet Earth recorded on TiVo :-P

    • +2

A recording on a PVR doesn't compare to the blu-ray copy. For one thing it's yours to keep forever on blu-ray and secondly the quality is superior. Thirdly no pirating involved.

      • Yeah but once I've watched it I can delete it and watch something else. Bargain!

Actually my TiVo is recording an episode right as I speak…

no this one is good to keep forever. get 4tb hdd deal $165 :)

        • There's only so many times I can watch a documentary.
          Unless its about Star Wars

        • At this price, why bother pirating? You also miss out on the two bonus episodes.

Even if you intend to watch it once, you can purchase it, watch it and sell it on eBay. Should be able to get most of the $17 back.

Hang on, when did watching TiVo become pirating?

        • Yeah and your grand grand grand son still could watch this. They might have known what we been through.

Hopefully he'll be able to play Blu-rays… Assuming the discs are within their lifespan or the technology hasn't been abandoned as we adopt future technologies :-P

    got from torrent :P

but seriously, good show if you watch on big tv screen with 1080p quality so nice… this is cheap

  • Blue Planet and Band of Brothers might not be watchable if your BR player is region locked.

Amazing series. Sir David is a legend.

Also, if you some nice visuals, highly recommend Baraka.

  • Planet Earth - DONE. Thanks OP - have intended to grab that set for a while but never jumped on it. Worthy addition to the collection. Cheers.

  • Thanks OP.

I have ground up with Sir Attenborough documentories. He is my favourite. This is a keeper to pass down to my children when earth is no longer looking this beautiful.

  • Cheers. Purchased.

Wow I was just looking around for a deal last week but gave up cause it was so expensive… So I ended up getting on torrent. However nothing compares to the real deal. BOUGHT! :) xox

  • Thanks. Can't wait.

  • Thanks mate! Hadn't purchased any blurays for 2 months straight! then now I went ahead and purchased
Planet earth / Human Planet / Frozen Planet

:D all for under $55 delivered! I was comparing the price from JB HiFi,

Exact same blurays would of normally cost $145!

  • Thanks OP. Been waiting for the Planet Earth blurays for a long time. Used your affiliate link.

    • Well done OP! Davide Rabbitburrow = legend. All his stuff in recent years is just so beautifully shot.

  • Great timing, just bought a big TV, about to be delivered.

  • Please put ur Affiliate link earlier next time…. I'm happy to use it if I haven't got it

  • Nice, been looking for a deal on 'Life' and 'Frozen Planet'.

  • I recommend Planet Earth and Life. They are so incredibly well filmed and put together, and really give you insight into the amazing animal world.

  • Just bought a few more and now 8 titles in total :)

  • Can someone explain the delivery cost? Upon checkout, the item cost comes down and the delivery cost makes up the difference, essentially giving you free shipping. I was about to order 3 blu-rays on the "Get Three Selected Blu-ray for £17" deal in a second order, but the delivery cost ruined the deal. Then I combined the deal with the doco blu-rays above and the magic of the item cost reduction made the overall delivery cost nearly free.

    • VAT removal - we don't pay the UK equiv of GST, so it comes off the product price. Cheers.

  • A few buck for a very good documentary if you compare to a BEER.

  • Thanks OP, I bought 5 using your link.

  • Picked up The Wonders Collection and Planet Earth for about ~33 the pair, been meaning to for a while. Cheers OP!

  • Grabbed
    Planet Earth
    Frozen Planet
    Africa
    Life
    Human Planet
    Natural History Collection

Top 4 are Attenborough narrated, Human Planet is meant to be awesome anyway. And the Natural History Collection includes Natures Great Events which I wanted, so 3 other blu rays for 10 pound more didn't seem to bad.

Only one I left out was Madagascar, have heard it doesn't live up to expectations. Have been waiting of these for ages, and prob could have waited longer for Africa to drop, but shipping it separately would have eaten the discount in shipping.

Was all set to buy lightroom as well, however checking Camelx3, it seems the Ozbargain community missed a great deal where it was 67 pound, rather than 92. Now I can't bring myself to buy it until it drops again.

  • Picked up Planet Earth, BTTF and Matrix Trilogies all for just under AU$50
Planet Earth was $18 shipped for me but no biggie.
    Thanks OP!

  • Just ordered Planet Eart, Blue Planet and Life - it came to $46. Used your affiliate links. Thanks OP.

  • Anything by David Attenborough is a keeper. I can't think of anyone else on the planet who has travelled more or seen more than him. Apart from bacteria perhaps. Loving the Africa series on tv at the moment.

  • Mine arrived yesterday :)
